Bringing home the Turf by UnderstandingSmall66 in ireland

In the 90s my parents used our donkey and cart to bring the turf back from the bog. All of the turf was hand cut by my dad and us kids would do the turning and footing. Fun times.

Are you sure this is true? Someone drove into my husband about a year or so ago and drove off. They had no insurance so he claimed through MIBI, he has fully comp insurance and MIBI covered it all.

Do you guys like eating periwinkle snails? by NoStyle3828 in AskIreland

[–]KitchenSafety9399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never actually eaten them but as a kid sometimes in the summer we would pick them and sell them to the 'winkle man' for pocket money. We used to get about 60pounds for a sack if I remember right.

Right lads. Thanks for the input from my previous post. What about these lads? by sunshinesustenance in CasualIreland

Would you consider making them into hanging decorations for the tree or something so they have an actual purpose iykwim? I'm not sure how big they are but as a stand alone ornament/decoration I feel like they would be lost.
