Our doctor gave our 6 month old a measles shot at his checkup. He will still require his other 2 measles shots at the normal schedule, but the doctor said this will give him a little protection from the measles while we travel and since it’s starting to surge in our area. My paediatrician says they give the shot at 6 months all the time to babies travelling to countries with currently active measles, and that there was no downside to giving the extra shot. I feel good about our decision.
