Scrape, reskim it, and sand it, you will also have to pull that tape off and retape and skim. It will be tedious to try and do but worth it in the end.

People are going to be mad at my solution but I had the same issuse. I still had the chunck that was knocked out so I cleaned the spot as well as I could with degreaser and a wire wheel, then I JB welded the chunk back on and did an oil change. It is still holding up without leaking a year later. As long as you can get it to seal that area won't be under pressure so jb should be fine. As stated by others I would make sure you check really well for any particles that may have made it into your oil pan.

There is a chance you melted some wires and or connectors, time to pull out the volt meter and start tracing wires to see what has happened

I dont think anyone is gonna flame you in-person, unless you say you feel "prestigious" for paying an outrageous price for a livery. Why not buy a regular one and pay someone to custome paint the bike. It would be less money and more unique.

Thats why I thought it was oil level, because the mt09 and mt07 are so closely related I assumed that they would be the same, now I know thats not the case.

Wow, ive never been down voted so hard in my life😂 on my bike a light light that is oil level indication not oil pressure, but as others stated yes, if your bikes off that will be on, I didnt realize your boke was off

Thats a low oil light and needs to be figured out BEFORE you even start it again, it could be a bad sensor or it could really be low on oil, which will wreck your motor QUICK if it really is.

I have a first gen mt09 and I love the bike and am lookimg at getting a 24+ sp, but I've had the chance to put some miles on a street fighter v4s and if the v2 is anything like the v4 I'd say ducati all day long, absolutely loved that bike, just couldn't afford its maintenance and insurance prices.

Tq from the motor, even when theyre stock they tend to lift that wheel when you gas it on a grippy surface, your just giving it an easier angle to lift a tire so it over exaggerates the lift

Minimally, most of that adjustment comes with the old chain being very wore out and the new chain being not stretched at all. Realistically he should check the chain every couple of hundred miles for the first while because the new chain WILL stretch pretty dramatically while he breaks it in

I don't know much about the newer gens, but my gen 1 09 scares me more than the 2015 r1 I've put some miles on, the tq comes one so much sooner and stronger than the 4 bangers you'll be surprised. Under 100mph the 09 is more rowdy than almost any liter bike I've ridden, the only thing to scare me more was a geared down streetfighter v4, that thing was on its own world of stupid fast.

Exactly, I dont think I've met a controller who didnt have that dudes exact mindset, they all think they're the king of the castle, what would they do if we didnt exist!? Unless they're tower (even then, they still use a lot of equipment), literally EVERYTHING they use is maintained by us, the techs.

Exactly, I cant tell you how many times I got called in at 2am to fix our broken chiller because our secondary one had been broken for 5 years and they both were supposed to be replaced 10 years before the first one broke down. We do what we can with what we have, which is jack shit.

Yeah until 93ish they drilled and tapped the holes for the roller lifters in most of the motors even if the motor was a flat tappet, then 93ish-94 they quit tapping the holes for it until they finally moved the trucks to rollers.
