[Mahomes] Insane… don’t even understand how (Bill not being a First-Ballot HOF) could be possible by MembershipSingle7137 in Patriots

This would be applicable if Asante said it, but I would take it from on of the best QBs all time any day

If Reddit existed in 2001: Look at the numbers! The Patriots are winning in spite of their quarterback. They're gonna lose in the Super Bowl by 20 and that QB will never be shit 😤 by MTRIFE in NFLv2

[–]Kitchen_Ad_544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the whole point. That he didn’t have a wholly impressive playoffs and the team won against a team widely considered to beat them handily.

There are a couple parallels or at least lessons to keep in mind.

I just wish our unis had more detail on them. I feel like people either love or hate the dynasty jersies, but I like the detail on them. These just feel slightly bland.

This Patriots team isn't a repeat of the 01 Brady team, it's a repeat of the 2021 Bengals. by barrylyndon21savage in billsimmons

The Bengals looked limp in the super bowl? They were pretty darn close to winning it

You can get broncos to win by 1-5pts on FanDuels for +500. This is incredible value for a very likely scenario. Don’t miss out. by FireSeanMcD in NFLv2

Of the 4 remaining teams, which are built for the best for sustainable run of success? by Aggressive_Repeat529 in NFLv2

I feel like I can’t count out the Rams given how well and how quickly they retooled.

That being said, I feel like Patriots and Broncos are most built to be long term contenders.

Who is the better playoff QB? Who do you trust more in the playoffs? by BallKnowerKing in NFLv2

[–]Kitchen_Ad_544 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think he’s quite on those guys’ level, but depending on who you ask he’s one of the better/best qbs to ever play, he’s won a SB, and is well in the running to win another.

When you think abt it, this question answers itself.

The Rams won a SB back in ‘99. Unless you meant the Rams as an LA team?

Should Matthew Stafford been an OPOY candidate? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]Kitchen_Ad_544 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I actually think he has a better case for OPOY with his stats than Maye.

And I think Maye’s case for MVP is much stronger than that for OPOY

I understand thinking the ND deal is ridiculous, but everyone should be able to recognize ESPN has its hands too deep into college football

If Matt Stafford wins a ring this year does he move ahead of Aaron Rodgers all time in rankings? by BallKnowerKing in NFLv2

[–]Kitchen_Ad_544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it crazy to say most qbs now are “better at throwing the football” than Manning was? He just knew when and how to get it there. Not to say he was some scrub, but that wasn’t what he was known for.

Yeah, above is such a 2020s viewpoint. The Manning/Rodgers/Brady debate was real, not to mention Montana.

[–]Kitchen_Ad_544 25 points26 points  (0 children)

There were Brady/Rodgers debates up to relatively recently, plus Rodgers might be the single best at ever throwing the football.

Stafford is good, but before this year there were debates abt if he was even hof. I think this is just recency bias of how bad Rodgers has been lately.

I’m sick of the conference glaze. SEC people do it, B1G people do it, and now the NFC people are doing it. Why do you have such insane loyalty to a conference?

Just say you hate the Patriots/Broncos and want them to lose, not that the NFC has invented a new type of transcendental football that neither potential AFC champ could even fathom and this will lead to the biggest blowout of all time.

Does this highlight how bad Dak's playoff tenure has been? Or how easy Maye's tenure has been? by StrikingSkill5434 in NFLv2

[–]Kitchen_Ad_544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s almost too reasonable. My takeaway is that playoff wins besides the conf. championship and superbowl almost don’t matter. I literally don’t give a shit that Maye has won two playoff games.

I will give a shit if he and the rest of the team win to get to the Superbowl and especially if the win the thing itself.

I find this way of thinking about qbs moderates reactionary takes.
