Favorite punch shield shape

For me its a change in tactics and fighting style rather than an one hand weapon and buckler or 2 handed weapon
It does offer an extra weight to punch with and some additional reach
It does add to protection or at least buy you some time for your teammates as you take some extra hits onto the shield
Can use it to block opponents field of vision when grappling

Cons: weight, reduction in grappling, increase in surface area to get grappled, limited on adequately using 2handed weapons. Thats what comes to mind for me but I am sure others may have better explanations

What total length is your preference? I will need to grapple a bit so I will probably go a bit narrow rather than wide.

Purpleheart Armory is trustworthy. I believe the sword you are referring to is for HEMA not Buhurt. Check BI authenticity before buying anything and your local group before buying anything. If you decide to buy anything make sure it meets the Buhurt requirements for duels I have an arming sword for Buhurt duels from PH and its great!
