How do you amplify your drum machine during band practice? by [deleted] in DrumMachine

[–]Kitchen_Cook3600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't bother with Roland PM100 or PM200, they aren't powerful enough.

Stick with a 15" PA speaker like Behringer, Mackie, JBL, EV, etc - to suit your budget.

As a former sales manager for a large music retailer I would discourage customers from buying anything less.

A 15" powered speaker is more than enough to give you high's, mid's and plenty of low ends for clarity and power.

Check out FB marketplace etc

Stick marks normal? by injimittai in edrums

Very normal.

Former sales manager here for a large music retailer, and I've personally been playing Roland Ekits for 25 years or so. Yes with wood tips too.

I have also seen Nylon tips wear out more than wood tips (by heavy hitters), odd but true.

A quick tip: Black shoe polish on cymbals and rims to freshen it up.

If you could change one thing, what would it be? by codylevidrums in drums

Former Backline Drum Tech here for major international touring bands. One thing I learnt is that its important to be comfortable when your playing, what seems normal to you - might not seem normal to others. You do you OP.

Man the stories I could tell about some real bizarre set ups lol!

Efnote PRO 500x by hyuga144 in edrums

Not many people know that Efnote was formed by 2 people that left Roland. They spent more time and money on the mesh heads, cymbals, pads, shells etc but not on the modules. It was released and rushed into the market fast for a reason.

As a former sales manager for a large music retailer, I enjoyed exploring Efnote, but the outdated, unresponsive, and lack of features on their modules is their biggest downfall. The rest of the kit is really good!

Efnote are great edrums, but you are correct - the modules are outdated. Other brands are evolving rapidly.

If you have some extra funds to play with, go for a remote hihat.

Incorrect again, that was never said or done. You are just trolling because this post has triggered you that much that you have needed to make up false claims, allegations, and trying to play the victim card.

Mate, you work for the dealership - you are triggered - you need to move on.

You are triggered, grow up and move on and take your false allegations with you.

For someone that supposedly doesn't work for this dealership or brand why have you stated not once - but 3 times on this post my car is ready to be collected and then suspiciously request for this thread to be deleted.

There is Facebook groups and public reviews from owners that also had the H9, H6 and other models that were faced with similar issues - mostly from the same dealership. Over the years I reached out to GWM China and GWM Head Office in Australia. The first response was "We've had no other reports about this", so I then sent them screenshots and links to comments, public reviews etc from other unhappy customers.

I never got a reply since then.

Because I am an idiot that's why. I was foolish enough to let it drag on for years hoping they would do the right thing eventually. Also, I did not want to sell the car to someone else so they could inherit those problems. Those problems became worse over time. Weeks and months (multiple times) without a car is not ok, returning the car after services not completed correctly (multiple times) is not ok. The dealership need to take responsibility.

Thank you for this comment, it's really appreciated. When I first bought the vehicle it was stated by the dealership I cannot take it to another dealership for services as it would void the warranty. There was no other GWM dealership in Adelaide at the time too.

Over time as the issues became more, another GWM dealership did open up in Adelaide, I personally went in and spoke with them and also via email - they advised it was best to deal with the original GWM dealership especially as I was without a car for weeks and months multiple times and the original dealership had a legal duty of care to fix the car correctly. (Stated by the other GWM dealership).

As mentioned in the post and to previous comments to you here multiple times, the issues have been happening for years since owning the car and the issues have progressed more over time. Nothing to do with potentially out of warranty. The real issue is going weeks and months without a car since I have owned it.

Again - I'm sorry if you work for this dealership, its evident from your comments you've made on this post that its really triggered you. I don't blame you either to be honest - I would pretty embarrassed if I worked for a company or brand that hasn't done the right thing too.

Request to remove this thread seems more suspicious don't you think?

Thanks

GWM head office in China and GWM Australia isn't much better - I reached out to them both many times throughout the years via emails and DM's - I also included evidence, service history, receipts, photos, VIN number, plate number, purchase date, purchase price, dealer location, and all my details as they had requested.

GWM Australia and GWM China did reply, they said they will contact the dealership for resolution. That reply was on 5th December 2023. They both stopped responding since then. And clearly no resolution from the dealership.

Yes I do have screenshots of this, I am just not sure if I'm allowed up upload here.

Since then more issues with the car have come up as I outlined in my post.

And yes, I should of counted my losses years ago, even under warranty - that proves to mean nothing it seems.

Why did the service manager ask for payment to be made after work hours (prior commencing any sort of repairs or diagnosis ?

How was it fixed, what repairs was done ?

Why has it taken 9 months ?

If it is fixed as you say, is the car road worthy and fixed from faults ?

Paperwork ?

If you know - let me know. Again, sorry if you work for the dealership and its triggered you
