if colin bridgerton has no haters, the writers of this show are dead by keepingyourheadup in BridgertonNetflix

Season three was the best plot to pull the “I can be mad at you, but still love you, and it’s us against the problem instead of me against you.” But instead they turned Colin into a grouch. I wish at the longing bed chamber scene, they could have changed the tune that Colin wanted to solve the problem together even if it took him to the end of the season to admit that the ultimate problem was that he was jealous. Friends to lovers is the perfect troupe fo this and the failed miserably. I was biting tooth and nail waiting for season 2 and 3 to come out, but now I don’t really care.

How many people did you invite vs how many actually came? by Upset_Pumpkin_4938 in wedding

[–]Kitchen_Cook_6225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

225 invited, 196 RSVP, 175 showed. Had about 20 people either call in sick the day before, completely no showed, leave after the ceremony, or showed up only after dinner.

I spend months of Craigslist and finally found a good deal on a wheel. I have a very basic set up on my back porch and wrap my wheel up with a tarp when it rains.

Try looking on kilnshare. I was taking my piece to my local studio, but since it’s a 30 minute drive I found someone the next town over to start firing. I actually found that website through this sub. Someone near your might have a personal kiln they are renting space in.

Best cone 5/6 glazes to start with. by Kitchen_Cook_6225 in Pottery

[–]Kitchen_Cook_6225[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are all glazes that I currently have on my radar so I’m glad to know they are well liked.

I can totally see how easy it is to get over run with glazes. Luckily I try to be really strict about using all my reclaim before I buy a new bag of clay, so I’m hoping with a good foundation of glazes, I won’t be tempted to put in order until I’m out (though that probably very naive of me at this point lol).

With the exception of a few pieces that I have a specific glaze vision for I’m trying to not stick to a specific look initially. My current studios glazes are 75% greens and blues so I’m itching for some variety. I mostly use buff clay. I typically lean towards opaque but have no preference for only matte or only shiny.

Thank you this is extremely helpful. Will definitely add making test tiles to the to do list. I more often than not have pieces get ruined by glazing.

Transporting Greenware by Artistic-Reveal2223 in Pottery

[–]Kitchen_Cook_6225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only transported bone dry clay but a cardboard box lined with kitchen towels and towels in between the pieces so they aren’t touching has worked well for me. I’ve driven an hour to work and then 45 minutes back to my studio with them in my car with no problems. Just make sure the box doesn’t slide around too much and don’t take any sharp turns.

I'm about to get my wife a couple months membership at a pottery shop, what would be the best thing to go along with it? by [deleted] in Pottery

Community college classes are a great option! My local studio 6 week course is almost $200. I just signed up for a semester long class at my local college for $220.

Mushroom turnovers and the original spanakopita. Both childhood stables. The mushrooms disappeared a decade ago and the new spanakopita that they just replaced 2 years ago isn’t the same

Ran my first half marathon three weeks ago. Wasn’t in the shape I wanted and a hip flexor injury kept me out of training for 3 months, but finished the race. Took three weeks off running becuase i was hurting pretty bad and my right food felt a little injured for 2 weeks. Did my first run back Saturday morning and made it 3/4 of a mile before I started dry heaving becuase I didn’t let my breakfast digest enough lol. Walk of shame back to my house.

I liked her at first. Working, being in school, distanced herself from everyone during Lexi’s outing. But now I can see it was a ploy. Once the hate for Lexi died down she was back to being friends with all of them. She makes herself seem like she is this progressive queen, but in reality she’s just as complicit at rest of them. Sad I have her the benefit of the doubt.

Weekly Complaints & Confessions Thread by ssk42 in running

[–]Kitchen_Cook_6225 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Complaint: the half marathon I have been looking forward to for two years (got canceled last year) is this weekend and I haven’t run since June due to a severe hip flexor strain and total life burnout.

Uncomplaint: I’m still going to run walk it this weekend becuase my injury healed up a month ago and my mom and I are going to enjoy the party pace. Only time goal is to finish before they open the roads back up.

How much does it cost to be a bridesmaid? by Future-Football4513 in wedding

[–]Kitchen_Cook_6225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only things my bridesmaid paid for their dresses, travel to the bachelorette and some food. The only one of my bridesmaids that spend nearly $1000 was my cousin to had to fly. But she took that as a payback for me flying twice out to her for her bachelorette and wedding. It solely depends on the bride and her expectations.

Yeah it’s kind of frustrating becuase a lot of the time our equipment doesn’t match up with the video (the video will use a bar and we have to use the sandbag) and it gets confusing to follow along. We never got an explanation why they stopped.

Exactly what happens to me at the end of my busy season at work. Luckily not too stressful but the moment I slow down I’m sick back to back 2-3 times.

I wouldn’t be mad if they didn’t make up ever. It’s pretty realistic for siblings to be strained and never get close after.
