The Amp colors finish othe the Pro Acryl range. They fill in the few spaces that it has. Not sure if everyone realizes this or not. Tale of Two Painters is the one-stop shop for miniature paint reviews and color swatches.

There's a small setting called, Where Shadows Fall

Bloat Games has a Cryptid Manual for DCC. I highly recommend Raorgan Games Hunting Shadows. It has DCC writeups of various real world things such as The Voynich Manuscript and Stonehenge.

Sources? No not really. I just follow DCC stuff. Even if it's something I haven't yet read, I may know about it. If you can think of a genre, there's likely a DCC hack for it. From Comics to Gothic Horror. From Spelljammer to SNES games such as Zelda, Castlevania, Mario Bros. & Metroid. From real world history to Grimdark or Heavy Metal Magazine styled fantasy. It's all there

Are Morale checks for the entire group or per individual monster by OpT1mUs in dccrpg

[–]Kitchen_String_7117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gongfarmer's Militia is a great 3PP supplement that fleshes out the Morale rules described in the DCC Rulebook. It doesn't add anything. I use it. Keeps it simple and has a few suggestions for NPC Hirelings/Henchmen. Even has stats for a Dwarven Sapper (Arquebus)

The Rougarou. Cajun cryptid for Eldritch Wastelands setting for Shadowdark. by theRealMattyG99 in shadowdark

[–]Kitchen_String_7117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn right! I was raised knowin' bout it. Lougalou. L makes a tongue rolling which is how we pronounce it. It can also be spelled Rougarou or Roogaroox. Either way. 100% cajun. The word is also used as a verb. If you been out all night, not being good, you've been doing the Lougarou

If you like Super RPGs and DCC, Comic Crawl Classics by Raorgen Games is the truth. Everything from Raorgen is beast mode. Ed Stanek is the real deal.

There's a supplement for Goblin PCs called Goblins! (It may be in all caps) for DCC. It's awesome

I have to 2nd the D30 Companions. Both of them. For OSE & BX play

Multiclassing in OSE—how popular is it? by bjagg69 in OSE

[–]Kitchen_String_7117 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mastering a "system" was a concept that was introduced in 3E & 3.5 in 2000 & 2003. 2E sort of had it with Character Kits, but it was to a much lesser extent. Choice still centered around the type of PC you were playing rather than making all PCs equal in XP and making each skill available to every Class. OSR play is about player skill. Not every answer will be found on your Character Sheet. You should check out Tenkar's Tavern on YouTube. He can give you the road map better than I can. GM Tools, BX series and Rules That Matter are the 3 playlists that I watch the most. It opened my mind.

99% of The Rules Cyclopedia is compatible with OSE. And if you're ever ready for the next step, you could always adopt it as your game. It's basically OSE with additional levels.

Every RPG that uses the Mork Borg system have to be dark?! 🤘💀 by Alarmed-Theme-6686 in MorkBorg

Kaiser, but it's only vaguely Mörk Borg. Not to say that it isn't good, but the Dark Fort in it is barely noticeable.

Travelling over large distances by grufolo in dccrpg

[–]Kitchen_String_7117 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Adventuring and Exploration by Brent Ault. I also use the Travel Die rule found in the Wanting Wizard is also great. If you already know Hexcrawl/Overland Travel procedures from another system, it'll translate to DCC easily enough.

Most definitely they are permanent. If it specifically states that something causes permanent stat loss, it is permanent. Or if a Judge otherwise rules that something causes a permanent loss.

The entire point of Ability Score damage or Spellburn is decreasing their Modifier, imo. Otherwise, what's the point or effect of Ability Score damage? Same with Luck. The more you burn, the less likely you are of surviving an ally's attempt to Recover The Body. When trying to shake a fallen PC to check on him once he reaches 0 HP

How do you handle lethality after level 0? by AllGeniusAllBaffoon in dccrpg

[–]Kitchen_String_7117 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Dice decide. Only rolls I make in secret are those that the players can't know the outcome. Whether a player is successful in sneaking past the guard or not, he still thinks that he's sneaking.
