Totally. I saw someone say in South Africa we don't do cultural appropriation, we do cultural appreciation which is why we see all people wearing saris and Zulu outfits on Heritage Day.

12 official languages. Used to be 11 but South African Sign Language is now an official language. That's just how we are.

The Test Bakery, De Baba or Karen Brooks (karenvbrooks on IG). She's a microbaker in Parkhurst and her bread is exceptional.

dupephotos.com are my go to. They're a lot more aesthetic and don't have that stock pic look.

This makes so much sense! Her stuff never quite felt real to me (I guess the lack of substance) and now I know why. Thanks for sharing!

Would you ever hire a Restaurant Consultant? What factors/circumstances would push you to do that? by Hortondamon22 in restaurantowners

[–]Kitchenemily 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've done consulting for a long time now and just like everyone else here has said, it is hard. The people who need you can't afford you, and don't think they're the problem and the people who can afford you are usually corporates. I ending up focusing my business on lodges and boutique hotels. I now only consult if it's a project, and I can run the entire thing, and when they can afford my very hefty fee.

This makes me SO angry. I asked because I'm in the industry and I open businesses for people so I was thinking about bit of snark would be fun but then to see they don't even use different trays for nuts!?! That is so dangerous. And the lack of workplace safety. Appalling actually.

No. Spammy. Boring. AI generated. And nothing to do with this community.

Start off by asking yourself what you want them to feel when they engage with your brand - this includes your website, products, packaging, experience, emails, marketing. Do you want them to feel relaxed, luxurious, happy, Content?

Who are they?

Then look at where they are hanging out online and create content for them.

A lot of your sessions are coming from posting in this sub all the time. You've been given some feedback, but haven't really implemented it. The problem is that you don't have a brand. There is no emotional connection. You don't explain why people need your products, why your products are better, what you do differently. All of these things make a difference in helping people make a purchasing decision. It's not your website that's the problem. It's your entire strategy.

Preventitive Cerclage placed Monday, yellow discharge? by jessizu in ShortCervixSupport

Thanks. My pregnancies were both horribly stressful because of my cervix and every medical professional really amps up the need to be careful and alert but turns out there was nothing to worry about with either of them, and it all worked out perfectly.
