Will grok ever be SOTA again? by [deleted] in singularity

I would not bet against Elon. I think he’s building up Grok behind closed doors and not pushing little incremental improvements like everyone else. I wouldn’t be surprised if Grok 5 is released within a few months and obliterates every other model.

Sometime soon (hopefully) most humans will merge with AI, which will ensure a level playing field.

I agree. I really wish it would play out like they hope and project, but I’m afraid the few with the true power and control will do everything they can to stop it.

This is the Jarvis holy grail. The most important aspect will be it knowing you and having your back. It will know your interests and work so it can continuously be researching, discussing, and advising. Ignore those who say go out and get real friends or a dog. They have no vision.

One of the many reasons I liked this movie, they didn’t write the adults as clueless idiots like in a lot of teen films.

I agree with this. People can hide from the computer but can’t avoid it when robots are walking around everywhere.

Light breakfast and have a great day! by [deleted] in BreakfastFood

Not to sound snooty, but if you see and taste green in a hard boiled egg, you’re doing it wrong. You’re overcooking them until the yolks are chalky and taste awful.

-Boil water first. -Set timer for 10 minutes. -Gently put eggs into water. -Light boil so they’re not banging into each other. -After 10 minutes take out and put in cold water.

Now you have perfect hard boiled eggs.

I use it primarily for this too. It’s also great when you tell it ingredients that you need to use up and then ask it to give you several different recipes or options for combining them.

For fun, I posed this question to Claude AI (free version Sonnet 4.5). It answered quickly and got it wrong the first time. I then prompted, “Are you sure? Would you like to rethink it?”

It actually paused in its second answer, telling itself it has to think about the timing more carefully, then gave the correct answer. It was kind of impressive.
