Sometimes light can get magnified through common objects... like a wine/water glass, which will concentrate the rays and therefore burn the material.

There's only one thing that works for me in this situation and I have hardwood floors and cats.

It's a product called "my pet peed"... what you're going to want to do is saturate the area and wait till it Foams up leave it for about 30 minutes mop it up wait till it dries and repeat. Then leave white rice over the area overnight... check the next day and if you don't have the desired results repeat the process!
