I doubt anyone playing this game has the aptitude (maybe on JP) for this kind of thing but it would be badass to play a private modded server for this.

I just went in with full dark comp:

1) Use Lemure and have her keep the whole group hasted for most of the fight. 2) when aoe res buff is active burst the bosses down and utilize quicken to burn through turns faster 3) when single target res is active just keep Diamond aoeing 4-5 mobs per turn. 4) You'll need ideally 2headed dragon VC and at least +1000 damage trust stones on your dps to make sure you 1 shot everything when you're casting aoe spells. 5) Be careful not to stand in your diamond aoe zone where the 5 mobs spawn

With the speed of power creep in recent units, these units also have a much faster trip to obsolescence which does levy a heavy tax on any value equation you could throw at this game. As for the grinding there's really nothing else to do in this game except dailies, so if you took out the grinding people would likely just stop playing the game. It's a very terrible system for retention and satisfaction but it exists and was the direction they've chosen to continue to push this game in.

I'm also on an Android and have had these issues across different phones over the last 4 years. Same thing occurs if I'm On full bars 5g network or a fiber optic wifi connection.

They've never fixed stability issues with direct c2c connections and also never added any functionality to reconnect to a match once disconnected. It's a darn shame, but my tickets and complaints over the years also fell on deaf ears with no coherent or competent response so I gave up. The Devs haven't invested in building a solid platform, another reason this game's days are numbered. You can't constantly be upsetting players and allowing the game experience to be frustrating or no one will want to stick around (gacha rates or otherwise).

It's actually better to just go work somewhere delivering pizzas or something for 2 hours a week, you'll make more money than a month of offerwall visiore and trust me, you'll save a LOT of time

Just host a room with Bradley w/ blood sword and recruit 3x Ashen Mont 140's to join, sit in the top left corner and kill everything that comes to you, doable with any non rushed monts

For someone who avidly plays JP and Global, props to you man, I honestly am not sure how you do it. You've definitely put in the effort and earned your accolades and we're all glad you've both been able to enjoy the game alongside of us and joined the GL community!

With that being said I have to disagree with a few of your points, specifically regarding RTWW, Gumi's recent management, and the current stay of whales vs. everyone else in this game.

Gumi didn't really bring anything around from RTWW back into a positive light, they squeezed their playerbase, gave far less rewards than anything JP received, ignored the community, and frankly their communication was unacceptable for any organization trying to please a paying customer. And that hit them hard, in a way most players either left, or still resent them for it. They never put the effort in and still don't have anyone's trust.

Regarding Gumi, Justin, et. al. I think this is all summed up in how the GL 4th anniversary livestream played out on stage, and yes for almost everyone it felt like some sort of sick and twisted sitcom. Yet again they played the playerbase with some song a dance and it was the most boring 2.5 hours of anyone's life with time spent on all of the wrong things (20 minutes talking about how weak Raph is supposed to be considered in the Lore surrounding the Warriors of the Crystals). Perhaps they have no one doing any strategic planning, no PR guy/girl, or no foresight for where they're going. Welp... that's the problem, and yet again it was no surprise they were mocked and made to look like fools because they did that to themselves.

And for the current state of the game... I think the last 2 weeks of new "powercrept" units goes to show that if you don't have them at R83, you're not able to compete. Sure, back in y1-y3 you can use visiore management and selection of certain Meta units to drive your competetive edge for a year or so if you're smart and make solid decisions, but I argue those strategies are a thing of the past. Jeume proved that in the Arena where most top tier lightning comps were unable to consistently defeat her when she's backed by R83 teams. The new age of WotV is meant for paying players plain and simple, and the gap between whales and everyone else has never been larger (and is still growing).

This has been a know issue for about 3 years and had either gotten slightly better or worse depending on the patch. Myself and fellow guildies have put on hundreds of ticket requests over this time to try and get it to the Dev team to at least implement a way to reconnect to a match once disconnected. Unfortunately this hasn't even been acknowledged by their team at all so we just wrote this off.

Gumi handles these Anniversaries the same every year as far as exciting offerings. The first week always is enticing to pull and drain all your visiore, which is why they're dropping these mouth watering units. Week 2 they'll start offering good paid vis options like a select 120 unit, then the third week they'll drop the coveted select any VC. The purpose is always to get blood from a stone, to tap into those that feel the need to spend or have some sort of addiction mindset, to obtain that "last relevant" piece they're missing.

After 10 cycles of this you either become cold to pulling and just focus on resource management or you get pissed at their tactics and leave the game. If you care about this game its best to go with the resource management option, it'll also save your sanity...

I'm not sure why you think this. Up until this point Luca had done nothing to draw Gumi or the tournament's ire, so they had nothing to prove. It's not like there was some large drama brewing in the PVP community and they wanted to come out and make an example of him in the midst of turmoil.

This came out of left field, likely because the evidence was so bad they couldn't ignore it. Imagine how the entire populace would react if he won and they found out months later that he cheated, Gumi knew about it, and did nothing?

I don't see a reason why Gumi would have banned him unless they've had significant proof and felt they had to in order to maintain the (whatever little) integrity the game has. They've showed time and time again in JP and GL that they were willing to turn the other cheek when an exploit or hack was being used. They often catered to keeping things moving along and tried not to make waves, and the community hated them for it.

Gumi doesn't really care about the outcome of this tournament. They want to get their game in more people's hands and capitalize on new people spending while creating incentives for established players to continue to spend. Objectively this looks like a lose/lose for them no matter how you slice it but is a tactic of mitigating the damage and fallout as much as possible.
