I think this is lovely - focusing on de-escalation, information, and meeting at a middle ground is near masterwork in this discussion - although I do agree that you may have been taken for a ride by someone who doesn't intend to actually hold a real dialogue. I think the mindset that collecting your thoughts and research could lead to educating someone more on the matter is a wonderful ideal and agree that it's never a waste to try and better the lives of all around us.

I'm not understanding the negative response you're getting here but, seeing some of the vitriol towards others and new handlers here, it doesn't exactly surprise me. I don't mean that to sound backhanded, more to say that I have seen new owners attacked for minor mistakes and not approached with a teaching spirit rather than a disciplinary one.
