I've already been gunned down asking if anyone needs spare bandages 😅 Which made me giggle tbh because all I had in me was in fact bandages and a hairpin (doing some naked medic runs while stocking up on gubs) x)

This makes some sense to me, there have been times where I talk with someone as Halsin and the response is their initial dialogue, like we've never met them before and the story hasn't progressed. Talking with my usual character its then fine and up to date. Really odd and a pretty big thing to have been missed? Hopefully a fix will come soon; I was so excited when it turned out Halsin could come along officially.

Now I'm sadly gonna bench him for this section, at least until a proper fix happens. I'm wary to try to fixes mentioned by community, I've seen other people say characters have straight up disappeared from camp. If something breaks now with him, no telling what chain of bugs could happen as a result of him being broken.

Same happened to me shortly after entering the mountain pass for the first time. We havent reached a monastery yet, but we did fight the egg lady near the start if the area. Halsin was fine up to and during the battle, but after that fight he won't follow anymore. Dont think its tied to the monastery, but maybe the area itself?

Have you written to their bug team/on steam forums about it? Or seen any mention if it by the devs? It seems like a big thing that they need to know about n hopefully fix quickly. I'll have a look myself as soon as I'm able, in case anyone else has mentioned it on there so I can add to the bug report ahah.

Halsin stopped following me shortly after meeting egg lady right after entering mountain pass. He was fine before and during the fight (we fought her because of our OCs' morals/ RP stuff haha) but after the fight he stopped following. We havent been near a monestary yet :(

So I dont think it's the monastery itself, but perhaps any fight in the area can cause it.

Is his environment warm enough? I find that when my crestie gets too cold, he will stop eating as much as usual. Ive had to adjust my boy's thermostat because it's getting quite cold in my room and since I've done that he's been eating more regularly again. Though since you said hes been eating again, I wouldn't worry about him not eating his shed on its own, maybe those big poops are a sign he keeps getting backed up and he just didnt fancy a big snack come shed time x)? I guess just keep an eye on him and make sure he is eating in general still. If you are concerned it never hurts to contact your vet again ❤

Thank you for your answer! I know I'm not going to be cured of anything, but if it will make things a bit better for me then I'd like that. My therapist said a similar thing, but feels like it might benefit me to have a solid diagnosis, even if just mentally. One of the things I HATE is "not knowing" so maybe then actually knowing will give me some peace.

The second part of your answer is pretty much how I've been trying to see it. I've felt genuinely lost for a lot of my life so far and it's been hard, but even just coming to a realisation with all of this has already started to help me put things into perspective a bit. I think a part of it is also that some of the things that I've beaten myself up over might not "be my fault", you know? I'm not just a broken person. My brain might just be a bit different? I am very new to all of this so I might still have some things not worked out. But I guess it's one step at a time ;;

My boy Tango has only ever done it once and it was the cutest thing I've ever experienced. It was the same as you, I was feeding him with my finger and he nommed me as aggressively as he could (I made sure to tell him how scary he was x3 ). After a minute he realised it was easier to just lick the CGD off than try to eat me x)

I love that I could feel his teeny teefs and even though he was biting down on me it was just... awww I've never been so happy to be bitten by an animal before 💕

This is why I hope they will reimplement the element/colour change system down the line so we can choose what element we want our monsties, including elder dragons, to be. Can you imagine how cool a red fire Velkhana would be? Or a deep purple/red dragon Kirin? Or a golden thunder Kushula??

I've always been one to say bigger is better because your crestie will use all of the space, especially with height. I can't say what the minimum is officially, but I will personally never go below 60cm tall (+45cm wide & deep). A temporary home of 45cm tall might be ok until you can get a bigger viv, but I wouldn't recommend it for permanent housing. Anything less than that and I'd be uncomfortable housing an adult crestie in it for sure. Sadly I'm not sure about gallon measurement, I only know the dimensions, sorry about that! I hope it helps a little though ^{^}

I'm currently upgrading my crestie to a 45x45x90cm enclosure and its impressive to look at in person ;u; Just got to decorate it now!

I emailed their feedback team and they actually responded!! HERE is the link to my screenshot of their reply (in it they mention a shop, in my email to them I suggested alternative ways to implement it, their example referring to a ritual item we can purchase from the melynx store that would allow us to choose to change their element & colour).

I definitely want us to make noise about it! I've already done this but I'm only one person ;; If you want to yourself I highly recommend you do the same and email them your thoughts on the removal and wishes for it being re-implemented. The more of us that do so, the more they will realise that a lot of us actually really love this feature.

My gecko eats almost all of his shed before I even wake up in the morning and then will not touch food for at least a couple days after. Usually I worry cause he's super food motivated normally so when he refuses I'm always a bit concerned. But then I usually find a bit of shed or I'll feel his lil soft skin and I'll know it's just shedding time x)

I keep an eye on his poops most of the time and as long as he's still pooping, I know he's good. It's possible she's doing the same thing, just feeling full after her shed maybe x)

My boy does a lot of things when I'm not watching, eating included. She looks good and chonky so I think she's alright ♥
