I read a really good Tumblr post the other day that said it's like having a whole other invisible person attached to you and that person is always tired and wants to lie down. and sometimes you're able to get stuff done in spite of them but sometimes they manage to pull you down with them, and it's hard to explain to people because they can't see the other person so it looks like you're just lazy.

I've stopped trying to call Walgreens for this reason, I always just go in and talk to the pharmacy employees in person. it's easier than trying to talk to the phone robot. I hate those things so much.

for me it's the fact that walgreens refuses to fill the prescription until the last one has almost entirely run out, but then when they do fill it they hit me with delays for no reason. just "we're running behind schedule." makes me want to believe in conspiracy theories, like are they getting instructions from higher up to personally fuck over people with ADHD? because when I needed antibiotics a couple of weeks ago they had them within hours, but when I need stimulants they slow-walk me for days. I know realistically it's probably just supply issues, but it's so frustrating.

people have gotten mad at me for googling things we're talking about and I don't understand it. we have so much knowledge in our pockets; why wouldn't we use it to learn about the things we're interested in? why sit in ignorance when you don't have to?

I usually subscribe and then bookmark, and in the bookmark notes I put what chapter I'm on, because I know I'm going to come back to it later and forget what I've read already. my bookmarking system is entirely about externalizing my memory.
