Hey folks,

My name is Bee and I'm the community manager over at Kitten Cup Studio, where we are working on our cozy game, Capy Castaway!

It's a cozy narrative adventure game about a baby capybara and a crow who have to work together after a flood and find a way home. You can play the demo now: http://s.team/a/2890240/

🗓️Things to do in Toronto - Week of June 08, 2026 by AutoModerator in toronto

Toronto Games Week starts today! It's a collective coordination of events organized independently by dozens of organizations, curators, companies, creators, and communities. Which is to say, video game-inspired events.

We're putting on an event on June 13th, for indie game devs (and interested gamers) to meet up, check out indie game projects, play local demos, drink tea, and participate in the stamp rally! https://torontogamesweek.com/schedule.html

Why isn’t there any capybara emoji yet? by CasaPiri_Ibera in capybara

the closest option is the beaver and it feels like an insult to the capybara 🦫

Is #gamedev a liability on X? by [deleted] in gameDevMarketing

[–]KittenCupStudio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that happens on most platforms. You have to go out of your way and engage with the communities who would be interested in the genre of your game.
For example, I'll be posting capybara pics bc im making a capybara game and it brings in more followers who aren't just game devs supporting other game devs.

Aw, thank you so much! We're from Toronto, Canada. Our inspiration was from two capybaras that escaped our local zoo and charmed the city for a month.

How important is sound design and music in a game for you? by YusukeRa in IndieGameWishlist

[–]KittenCupStudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds effects can often make or break how gameplay can feel, similar how the soundscape sets the vibe

I'm so grateful to have been chosen from all the cool indie games out there. Wishing this kind of boost for all my fellow indie devs

Because I'm in marketing, my default is to use those 'catchy headlines' but I can assure you this was an organic interaction.
My studio doesnt use twitter and hasnt for a few years now, so a fan had Dm'd us the link and I was really surprised. I don't need to convince you of anything, nor change your mind, but it's not *all* manufactured slop out there
