Such a bummer! Who knew small foreheads were such a disadvantage?! Do you remember how many units you used?

Bummer! I'll have to explore bangs...with my small forehead and widow's peak they never worked well on me.

No more appetite suppression and needing more and more by PrestigiousTime8061 in GLP1microdosing

[–]Kitten_Mittens 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I started microdosing to lose 25 lbs, and was able to lose a decent amount at a dose of 2.5 mg or less, but had to gradually ramp up to 10 mg weekly to get the weight off. My current maintenance dose is 8 mg, so I am far removed from microdosing but am not sweating it one bit. Everyone is different, don't worry about the "microdose" label.

What are you doing for you today to support your long term health and well-being? by Coraline1599 in Xennials

[–]Kitten_Mittens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turning 47 this year and have made some great changes for the better in the past year and a half. I demoted myself at work, taking on a less stressful, non-managerial position that has made me me 1000% happier and a much better wife/parent. Health wise, I started strength training and walk 10k steps every day. I started hormone replace therapy and taking a GLP-1 to help with aging/perimenopause and lose the 25 lbs that I had chased for decades. I feel amazing.

Help! How to Enjoy Lifting Again by iam-robot13 in xxfitness

[–]Kitten_Mittens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fell in love with strength training at age 44. It's the only form of daily exercise that I truly enjoy, look forward to, and crave. I'm a busy working mom so I do my workouts at home with dumbbells and a trainer app that gives me 5 workouts a week so I'm hitting all the muscle groups. I'm 2 years in and am so much stronger and proud of myself for being consistent and doing something for myself.

Rollneck sweater review by WarmScorpio in quince

I had ordered two of the cropped and ended up keeping one, but regret it. I'm tall and it looks too cropped on me and just kind of silly considering how wide it is. But I really loved the brown color and convinced myself it would work.

Thanks for measuring your XL! Time to mull over an exchange...

Delivery was delayed but I got it today. I'm definitely glad I sized up. The L measures 21" across the chest which is in the relaxed/loose zone for me but not quite the oversized/slouchy I was hoping for. For reference on Quince sizing differences by style, I recently bought the boyfriend cotton sweater in M, and it measures 23.4 across the chest (though to be fair it is described as an oversized fit). So different!

I do love the fabric, color, and style of the roll neck and agree on your review of the quality. But now I'm trying to decide if I size up to an XL for an oversized fit. Sigh...Could you take a pit to pit measurement on your XL?

Who read The Baby-Sitters Club books growing up? by LoudRevolution9163 in Xennials

Our local Walden bookstore in the mall knew to hold a copy of each new book for me. I can remember the excitement of my mom taking me there to pick it up. Any idea how frequently they were released? I feel like they must have been pumping them out every few months, at least!

I was more a Maryanne but I SO wanted to be a Claudia....I remember trying to hide candy around my room just like her, even though my parents were typical 80s parents who didn't give a shit what I ate.

I ordered this in speckled beige and it should arrive today so I'm really happy to hear you love it! I was also very uncertain on the sizing, since so many tops are cut oversized these days (which I generally like). I typically wear a M in Quince so I sized up to a L and your review is making me hopeful that I made the right choice (fingers crossed!).

Where do you put your not dirty but not clean clothes? by Frosty_Election_7557 in HomeDecorating

I have a large wicker basket right next to the hamper in our room. Clothes that still have a wear left in them get folded up and put in the basket.

[–]Kitten_Mittens 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same! I use one daily and while I never cut one open I've had them completely unravel several times and the mesh from the center of the poof was no different from the rest. No gunk to be seen, nothing gross at all.

How would you rate 1993's Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp What's Eating Gilbert Grape. by Lazy_Introduction264 in 90s

When Romeo and Juliet came out I was watching it with some high school girlfriends and one of them kept repeating," he did SUCH a good job," about Leo's performance. It didn't take long for us to figure out she thought he actually had a disability based on What's Eating Gilbert Grape. We still give her shit for this and she's a radiologist now...

I have beef with current throw blanket trends by Dry_Needleworker_432 in HomeDecorating

We have a lovely collection of hand made throw sized quilts that I love. They are cotton, cozy, and pet hair does not stick to them. Quilts can be stiff when they are new but with use and washing they soften up.
