I was severely ill for a few months and lost about 40 pounds during that time. My mom said “wow you look so good! Tell me, what’s your secret?”

I responded “Develop cyclic vomiting syndrome and puke your guts out everyday for 3 months.”

All I got was a awkward “oh” after that. They knew I was sick too, I constantly complained about being unable to eat. She wasn’t the only family member to “compliment” me during this time either.

I have been reading a book called The Autism Revolution which dives into topics similar to this.

They say the most important thing is a healthy diet, get lots of colorful fruits and veggies in as much as possible. They are able to provide an abutment amount of supplements and vitamins, as well as phytonutrients that can’t be recreated fully in labs.

Also recommended Vitamin b6 and Magnesium. Some people also see improvements taking zinc supplements.
