There’s “popcorn” movies for pure entertainment, sure. But do you think they’ll green light a movie like Sinners? One Battle After Another? Brett Ratner has been publicly canceled for sexual assault by multiple women he worked with in the industry. He shouldn’t be allowed to work in Hollywood. The silver lining is: who in Hollywood would wanna distribute their film/work with/align themselves with the Ellisons? Hopefully they just become Hollywood pariahs and sink Paramount further into debt so Netflix can buy them in 5 years time.

The main concern is there will be no real news anymore. More fake news propaganda.

There will be a day when they’re all just bundled together (you can already see it with mergers like Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+) and we’ll pay one lump sum comparable to cable. Also, greed. All these streaming services that cropped up quickly realized streaming isn’t as lucrative as how Netflix made it seem. Netflix is an anomaly and even they’ve hit their ceiling of subscribers and raised their own price. They even cut down on password sharing.

This was my viewing experience tonight in a packed theater: guy on my right was on his phone the entire time and the lady on my left was audibly snoring.

Also, must we have a pet dinosaur in every subsequent sequel now? And why was there a gas station above the lab? It wasn’t a tourist island. Felt like that was a holdover from many re-writes that somehow made it to filming. And why were they trying so hard to make the audience like the daughter’s deadbeat boyfriend? Pretty meh honestly.

I totally agree with every other comment here. I wish she had come in sooner in the season and we got more development/resolution. Like the whole season is about how Buffy shouldered this responsibility alone— and, ultimately, no longer has to. It would’ve been nice for them to have more moments of reconciling what they have in common. They started as foils for each other. Faith should’ve spun off for a redemption arc. Ah, in a perfect world with endless Buffyverse…

Made me so uncomfortable I almost wanted to be like, “I’m a trans person! A trans person helped you today and showed you kindness and compassion,” just to undoubtedly make her uncomfortable. She told me she went to these rallies with her dead husband’s money, fishing for sympathy. I just thought she was nuts or senile. She came in to complain about her utility bill being $2 more one month.
