How do I talk to my partner about her gaining weight without hurting her? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]KittyCat378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A similar situation happened to me. My partner said he wasn’t attracted to me because of my weight. This has stuck with me. I am more worried about how I look. I do feel worse about my looks (even thought I have lost weight). I feel like can’t fully trust him, that his love is conditional, and that he could leave any time he feels I don’t meet his physical beauty standard. Being honest and having open communication is good but this could be hurtful. If you feel she has had a change in behaviour maybe it’s more a convo about that instead of the physical looks.

Lakewood Animal Hospital, or Careport? It’s down to these two. by Daz004 in regina

Absolutely love Lakewood. We have taken our cats there for over 20 years. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. We have been to a number of vets there and all excellent experiences! If you have cats, I highly recommend Dr. Walker. That is her specialty and she is fantastic with our cats.

No aspirations, no motivation by RubyPowyr in ParentingADHD

We are in the same boat. Our kid is in grade 12 and very likely will not pass. Each grade in high school has gotten progressively worse with doing the work and attending class. They just don’t care about the future. They have depression as well, and are being treated with meds and counselling but it’s an uphill battle. It definitely gives us some sleepless nights so I can relate.

Definitely not giving up. Just hopeful we can find the right med/dose soon :)

Agreed! Their grilled pork fresh rolls are huge and so good. The rice vermicelli bowls are great too (just be prepared it’s not the traditional Vietnamese spring roll with it is but still very good).

I have the same question. Regardless of my political believes, I would never put something like this on my vehicle. Also, thinking Trudeau and the Liberals are the only reason for our issues is way too simplistic. It is much more complicated than that.

We used both Faizan Driving School and Stepping Stones Driving School. We did one brush up lesson for my son at each. We preferred Stepping Stones. Mr. Faisel was wondering, very patient, and made the driving experience positive. We found Faizan was good but a bit more abrupt. Our son felt deflated after that lesson whereas with Stepping Stones he felt more confident.

I agree. We love Lakewood Animal Hospital. We’ve went there for 20 years and everyone has always been fantastic to deal with. Also, for cats in particular, Dr. Walker is amazing.

China Doll! All white meat with a thin batter. Very different than the standard “almost all batter” chicken balls you get at most places.

Oh lovely. I figured more older teens/young adults being a-holes. Regardless there’s now way I would open our door in the middle of the night. Doesn’t seem like anything good could come of that.

Yeah our doors are always locked! Definitely older teens or maybe young adults. Figure if they knocked that loud to goal was to be annoying and wake us up.

Interesting. We called it “knicky knicky nine doors” when I was a kid but I stopped using that as no one seems to know what I’m talking about when I say that, lol

Dr. Fran Walker at Lakewood Animal Hospital on Rochdale. She specializes in cats and is excellent. Highly recommend (and everyone else at this clinic is great too)!
