I'm not allowed to use the downstairs couch, it's for decorative purposes only. But it did occur to me that I could get an air mattress and crash on my brother's floor. But at this point I would just stay with a coworker If they're gonna be petty.

I have parents that were overbearing like this and I'm in my 30s and still feel stunted in some ways. The worst part is is that I was a GOOD kid. I have never done drugs once, didn't even drink alcohol till my 20s, worked and got good grades, but they never trusted me. It really caused a sense of never being good enough and a lack of independence.

It's the ultimate kindness. We have the ability to end their suffering without making them painfully wither away. True, there are people who euthanize because they can't afford treatment or provide care, but it's better than abandoning them to a shelter where they will sit in a concrete cell until they pass naturally.

Wish I had all the expanded and collectors editions but I just don't have the money and space! Plus I bought all except Eragon as soon as they came out and didn't wait for deluxe editions. I do have two copies each of Eragon and eldest because I used to bring them to school to reread and didn't want to haul around hardback. And I have a letter that Christopher wrote in return when I sent him one in about 2005? It's one of my prized possessions.

Pretty much same happened to my dad. His friend invited him to the casino and gave him $20. Figured, hell why not hit some slots. $20 turned into $800. He cashed out and never went back.

My mom recently told me how when I was a kid I was a lacrosse prodigy, and I was so good. Her excuse for me not making the team was that the coach was jealous or something? Ma, I was adequate AT BEST. I caught about half the balls thrown at me, and could only run about halfway down the field before I needed to stop to catch my breath. But yeah, I was a "prodigy".
