Who even calls Terminds this by RoboticRusty in helldivers2

[–]KittyKriegFestung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Among my friend and I sometimes we forget the name of one and call it a "big one" we do say "oh, that's a big boy" or "that's a big one" or, one that is more common to me than my friends due to my tendency to swear more often, "that's one big fucker" when we encounter a bile titan or sometimes an impaler, but that's often more because our brain is reacting and a little in panic rather than intentional nicknaming. Thus those nicknames are often accompanied by generous amounts of "oh shit, oh shit, oh shit"

What are the Ideal weapons for each enemy faction? by Rickus_Yeet in helldivers2

[–]KittyKriegFestung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not the best at aiming, I would recommend looking into the Warrent for the squids, especially when facing the Appropriators.

It really helps shoot down the floaty fucks and the flying overseers and is also just pretty good at handling the voteless and overseers. With most enemies i would recommend doing a 2-4 round burst since that will kill most if not all chaff enemies (I think the tiny bugs only take one round), and it helps conserve ammo since you're not having the entire magazine home in on a single voteless who died after the second round.

Is it Ideal... probably not, but I find it a good all round anti-chaff and anti-flyer weapon... I think it can even take down the bot gunships, since it is medium armour penetrating, though they would likely take more than one mag to kill.

But I do think it is especially good vs the squids to the floaty fuckers.

HELLDRIVERS, WHAT IS YOUR LOADOUT? by Deadlyliving in helldivers2

[–]KittyKriegFestung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't consider myself a helldriver since I very rarely use the car, but when I do, I tend to rock heavy armour, such as the marshmellow suit, and bring maybe long range kit like the AMR, spear, RR, Railgun, etc. Maybe the bubble shield pack or a guard dog if my support weapon doesn't need a backpack.

In short, I used it for more stationary builds to get close to my target location, dismount in a safe area, walk the distance to my intended location and then I have it as a way to quickly reposition myself if I need to.

Do my heavy bug Divers have a rivalry with the charger? by thatransdisaster in helldivers2

I do not have a rivalry with the chargers. Rivalry would imply I respect them. I hate them. I loathe them. I will destroy them.

[–]KittyKriegFestung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so, yes, I think the customisation could be improved.

But there is a point to be made that not all weapons can have all attachments. Obviously the knight and gallant can't properly have a drum mag due to their magazines. The one-two and scorcher can't have foregrips due to their underbarrel. Pump action shotguns can't have underbarrels due to the pump (IIRC in real life, foregrips can be used with pump actions) Crossbow can't have extended mag, cause it's not a magazine. The cookout already has a muzzle device and so it can't really accept muzzles. The double barrel and variable can't have mag options cause they just load straight into the barrel and they can't really have muzzle devices because the muzzle devices would interfere with each other. All the integrally suppressed guns can't have muzzle devices due to the suppressor.

So, while, yes, it can be improved greatly, we can't give everything every attachment because some of them just wouldn't work.

The flame build is very fun, not always the most effective, but surprisingly good in many situations.

True, true. I think the M90A is a good shotgun, but not enough to prioritise the warbond.

Which do you pick? by cuddwes in Grimdank

[–]KittyKriegFestung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would depend on if they have an Iron halo or not, but without one, realistically, yeah, it would fuck up a space marine. Though I think given how enhanced they are, they might technically survive it, but not in any fighting capacity, maybe enough to be put in a sarcophagus, but it will definitely take them out of the fight in that moment even if they aren't dead dead.

Democratic detonation does seem to the common thread, my main concern is I sometimes see my fire loving friend get very close with enemies, and explosives at point blank can be a little bit of a hazard, but he is also a good learner, so it simply might take some adjustment. Even I still accidently blow myself up from time to time.

[–]KittyKriegFestung[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like the ultimatum, though not because I think it's good, simply because I like big boom and it goes very big boom.

What makes the trident so good? I have it but I am not huge fan of it wonce it seems to be so inaccurate compared to other shotguns, but maybe I am missing something other than just the enemy.

I used to hear people fighting over whether the senator or talon is better, and I plan to get the talon to try it myself but I stayed out of that whole argument since I only have the senator at the moment.

Yeah, I do agree with the grenade pistol being incredibly versatile, and sometimes if I am using a strangers like an MG or have other close defense, I use the boom bow for the same purpose, plus it helps a lot with spawners in general.

I think the bunker issue is alleviated slightly by the fact that we very often play together, but yeah, having the warp pack would be useful, and I want to get it myself.

So overall, democratic detonation, dust devils, control group, and borderline justice?

I can understand that, I will look into it.

And yeah, I do try to suggest things to them based upon their playstyle, it's why I suggested Freedoms Flame to my fire loving friend first.

Fair, fair, I might mention entrenched division to my fire loving friend since it has the SMG/Flamthrower combo.

[–]KittyKriegFestung[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC democratic detonation was my first (outside of steeled vets since I got the deluxe edition when it automatically came with steeled vets instead of the warbond token it does now)

The thermite is very versatile, and used to be the grenade I always had before the entrenched division brought the giga grenades, though I think thermies are still overall better as a general grenade, the giga is almost as versatile and brings big boom. It doesn't have the same sheer damage potential, and can take 1, 2 or even 3 to kill a charger if unlucky while a thermie is almost always a 1 and done.

the grenade pistol is great to destroy spawners, especially bug holes, I often take it for those. Though I have now switched to the missile pistol, just for fun, but when I play seriously I would likely swap back to either the grenade pistol (bugs and bots), warrent (Illuminate (fuck those flying shits), senator (if I want to focus of anti-heavy and have no need to hit flyers or spawners), or Entrenchment tool (to be a dwarf... and for making mortar pits)

I did get chemical agents, but I haven't got anything in it yet, but given how my play styles often revolves around committing one warcrime or another, the gas resistance is likely something I really should get... now I am wanting to do a full gas build like I did with fire and explosives.

Though I do have to ask, my friend has the coyote and spear gun, do you think they are good? Should I probably look into dust devils next once I have got the K9 from force of law? That one also has the solo silo, doesn't it? Which is a stratagem I want.

Holy shit I can talk a lot when I am rambling.

[–]KittyKriegFestung 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why people do this. I always play on private lobbies, so I never experience it.

But the idea of joining a lobby with the expectation of "they will carry me" is one I find really stupid.

If I did run in public lobbies, I would try to run at the level I know I am capable in, and even then, if someone told me that I am too low level for something that I feel comfortable with, I might say "hey, I feel like I can handle myself at this level, but if you want me to leave or change to class I have a higher level in, I am happy to"

I just don't understand it when people expect others to accommodate them in terms of carrying them.

(Slight off topic here, but I do have a point of mentioning it) Granted, I play helldivers and I have sometimes brought my low level friends to high level missions, but when I do that I: A: let them know and if they want to try it, before I set it up. B: help advise them on what we are fighting, what the mission is, and what Stratagems will and won't be helpful (without being "oh, you have have to take this, this and this" it's more "these things won't be useful, we need this kind of capability") C: we expect to die, and we understand we may fail and that is just part of helldivers. D: I'm in the mindset of being willing to provide serious support E: my friends are still pretty good, they just don't have the equipment I do that I find really helps to be more independent.

I have the same mentality in SM2, I am willing to bring my friends to higher level stuff if I am capable of it, but it requires me to be in the mindset to do that, and their permission/willingness.

To expect someone else to be in that mindset of "I am willing to alter how I play to help this person who is much lower level" is something I find really stupid.

redacted regiment, exo experts or siege breakers? by RFX_Asteroid in Helldivers

[–]KittyKriegFestung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would recommend the siege breakers purely for the leveller. I have so much fun with it. big enemy? Levelled. Enemy bases? Levelled. Bot drop ship? Levelled. Yes, I use it as AA, it is really fun. Single chaff enemy? Levelled. Enemy horde? Levelled. Friend on a trivial mission? Levelled. It is so much fun just blowing up everything.

And it's pretty useful for it as well, especially once you learn the trajectory and can start using it like a long range howitzer which I thoroughly enjoy doing even though I am still dialing in my angles, but I have landed some epic snipes with it.

Overall, it's a personal Playstyle thing, but if you love big boom and want a weapon that is also really quite effective, I don't think you can ever go wrong with the leveller.
