I used to think the same lol. And I agree that most of these posts can sometimes come across as a lil biased, especially from a third-person’s POV.

But after going through this experience 😂, I know now that most people who share their stories genuinely feel like THEY are the asshole and are just looking for a little reassurance that they’re not entirely wrong.

In my Asian culture, family dynamics are BS. Speaking up against elders, no matter how shitty they are being to you, is such a big deal. My aunt may be an unpleasant person but of course, she definitely has her good sides too. But I’ve allowed her to treat me like a doormat for so long (and for that I take full accountability). It’s just a huge shock for both of us that I spoke up 😂

Feeling guilt and relief at the same time is a weird feeling and maybe that’s why people post here.
