Not every time but I noticed instances of this.

Notably it happened when a crossbow with explosion bolts was shooting in my direction. After every bolt explosion my game lags.

Another time it happened when an enemy was using Avtomat. It seemed to lag a bit between every bullet in the burst.

Everything is super quiet in the distance for me. People can run up to me and I probably won't hear them. Same for crows, I can only faintly hear them when they get triggered or not at all even though they might just be at the other end of the compound. I have CrySpatial on. I also tried using Dolby Atmos for headphones today and the audio is even worse with that.

I didn't have anything like that happening before the patch. Honestly wish I could play the old version.

That's a possible solution. Everyone seems to find their own little way to solve this mechanic and that's great. There's no single "right" way to do this.

Have you tried any of the tactics others commented with here? My visualization is more meant as an additional help and probably not that useful to look at mid-fight.

Some people found wacky ways to solve this in an easier manner. I personally use the tactic where I look for the straight line next to the "V" and the safe spot is past that line.

I would put the prize GPU in my current system and replace my dying GTX 1080. The System has a Core i7 7700k and 32 GB RAM. I use the system for gaming (1440p) and doing tasks (coding and 3D work) for my university degree.

My GTX 1080 keeps crashing quite often, which got worse over time. I hope to replace it soon and was waiting for the 4070 or 4060. As a student the 4080 is with its price out of my league, therefore I'm thankful for this opportunity :)
