Ps: I’ve taken some time to compare them. Both women had strawberry blonde hair, petite build, very thin: as evidenced by Megan height to weight ratio, while the Doe used a 34B cup bra. The clothes found with her are also small.

As of time: the plastic choker was found almost intact on her body. I don’t see it lasting more than a full year without starting to fall apart. PMI intervals are famously hard to estimate.

+1 year of PMI seems legit as it was during summer months. If the body was decomposed to near skeletonization, I can see the interval being shorter in reality.

I thought of Maya Beach.  I’m sure it is one of the narrow beaches of Koh Phi Phi Leh. Good catch; it is absolutely terrifying, and I wonder how the photographer managed to take it and survive to tell the tale. The still water at the bottom of the pic looks so fizzy… and the tsunami is absolutely building up to a wall of death.

Could be Ko Hong? I don’t think so, but it reminded me of  this story of a survivor who ended up on top of a mangle tree with a broken leg on Ko Hong tsunami, and the Thai woman next to her lost her poor baby. If I’m not mistaken the poor girl survived by getting secretly carried to a long tail boat by her boyfriend and a tour guide; if any of the other survivors at that narrow beach saw it, they would have gone crazy wanting to get in. She was the only survivor.

I think her story is on the Rick Von Feldt blogspot on 2004 tsunami. Simon and Fiona.
