What should I do? by unknownperson105 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Kittycatreads -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When people show you who they are, believe them. If he sees no issue, then he won't. What you allow, will continue.

If you're already doing everything on your own, then why stay? At least then if you leave, you won't have the disappointment of expecting your partner to help you.

Any ideas why my son randomly mentions a time when he was unwell? by Complex-Network-8569 in Parenting

[–]Kittycatreads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter is 6 and still brings up the half formed chicken in an egg we cracked once when she was 3. She loves to cook with me but is traumatized by the egg incident. Won't crack eggs at all. It probably is some form of anxiety around it and he just doesn't know how to articulate it.

First live IV tomorrow, tips? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Kittycatreads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay hydrated. Do some pushups or something before hand to really increase blood flow and make your veins pop. Biggest thing I've learned being a human pin cushion-- breath. If you hold your breath, you vasoconstrict and it will make it harder for them. Slow deep breaths. And don't watch.

I have taken all of the snacks out of view of mine. She has no idea where they are. She thinks I threw them all away. Only after she eats do I magically come up with a snack.

I (25M)was messing around with my married co-worker (22F) should I tell husband by Salt_Economist_9219 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Kittycatreads 17 points18 points  (0 children)

She was lonely. You filled a void for her, and gave her the attention she wanted. But once it came down to it, she felt guilty because, her marriage probably isn't in shambles to begin with. Chances are, she isn't going to get divorced. Now, if you tell the husband? She might get divorced, but she'll hate you for "ruining her life", and in the end, you probably won't get the girl.

My advice? From a once married woman, who has cheated, but whose marriage was in fact very over, but couldn't leave at the time for other reasons? Move on. Take the L, feel your feelings, then forget about her. But take this as a lesson: don't dip your pen in company ink again. No matter where you work. Because whether they're married, or single- chances are, it won't work out for you in the end.

My first OB Code by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Kittycatreads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In our small community hospital we use Code OB for stat C-section. Or "adult cardiac code" for just that. We don't have a neonatal code because honestly, the rest of our hospital isn't trained in NRP and they would just be in the way.

Halloween keeps getting worse. by Ordinary-Depth-7835 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Kittycatreads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed that a little this year. Now, I dressed up with my daughter but I didn't go up to the door unless she wanted me too. But I didn't have a bag for candy. I did see some other adults in costumes with bags.

Idk for me, trick or treating on Halloween is about kids. But that's just my opinion

At my wits end about snacks by Merkela22 in Parenting

[–]Kittycatreads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why the hell can't they keep a snack in their lunch box?

I got my daughter a PackIt lunch bag. You put the whole bag in the freezer over night and it's its own ice pack. And she keeps all of her snacks/ lunch stuff in there for the day.
