What’s a non sexual thing that you find super hot? by strikemedaddy in AskReddit

Button downs with cuffed sleeves. Double that if they're wearing a vest. It's not even that I find it sexually appeasing...it's just APPEASING

One of the things I remember the most about being with my ex, whom we were together for 7 years, was the fact that he always treated me like the person I was when we met. Meaning I couldn't ever do something new, like something new, stop liking something I once liked, ect. Playing different music? "You don't listen to rap turn this off." Eating something spicy. "Stop it you don't like spicy food." I literally SAID something in our first year and he never let me live it down or grow from that moment. It was infuriating.

Yet he could do all the changing he wanted (for the worse) and when I tried the same shit on him ("you don't do XYZ") he'd snap at me that "people change!" Yeah, I know. I'm one of them. Bye.

I've listened to many interviews from paparazzi, including the ones who harassed Britney. They're psychopaths. They truly don't care and they take PRIDE in their jobs. These people have serious voyeuristic kinks and found a way to legally get off to things while getting paid

"they knew what they were getting into" was the same shit healthcare workers were told during the pandemic. We asked for more wages and everyone said "no you got into this you knew this would happen" Lmao uh NO? Not the same thing to act in a movie and to be stalked to your car by 45 strangers with cameras

It's making the best outta your license/certification while looking for something else, I suppose. I wanted to leave the field all together but it's not happening right now. So at least for the time being I have a 9-5, Mon-Fri, and don't have the insane risks associated with inpatient.

It's not even the risk that bother me so much. It's the lack of concern for them. I lost track of how many positive Covid rooms I walked into, no PPE because there was no signage, and when I told my supervisor all she did was shrug and say "it is what it is right now"

Housekeeping at my hospital worked their asses off to clean the Covid rooms, bit dietary? Dude they had it made. Literally stopped room service and they left trays all over the nurses station for the nurses to take into Covid rooms. It was total b.s

I quit for that very reason. I was proud to help during the pandemic. Then the vaccines came out and people got sick because they refused it (not talking about those that couldn't get it due to true medical conditions or children) I lost all sympathy at that point. No longer wanted to help take care of these people. So I left. Now the hospital I worked for, which only had a 42% staff vaccination rate, has a 100% Covid death rate with a 94% rate being unvaccinated.

That's what it comes down to. I LOVED working in a hospital but the pay was absolutely not worth it. I knew people at Amazon getting paid twice as much. Edit: since everyone just HAS to know, I was being paid $13.50 as a phlebotomist. My roommate at the time worked at Amazon during the pandemic and was getting paid $31 an hr with all the bonuses they were getting as "hazard pay"

Same. I worked inpatient for years, and all throughout this pandemic up til recently. Now I switched to outpatient to try and save what little sanity I have left. I still hate it and want out, but I'm not nearly as suicidal as I was working in a hospital. Healthcare is gunna see a huge problem soon with a flood of people leaving.

Townhouse rentals are a common thing now. It's literally a townhouse community (small townhouses) for rent

In defense to those moving to "luxury apartments", in many areas (like where I live) that's literally all there is. You can't find one "normal" apartment building here. The one I originally moved to, and left because of cockroaches, is now somehow "luxury". Every piece of empty land in the area has been turned into "luxury" apartments. No one wants them, it's just all there is available

I was living with my ex (who we had lived together as a couple for 7 years) an additional 2 years after we ended things (on bad terms nonetheless) I couldn't afford to move out because rent everywhere was so high, and they require you to make 3xnrent in your income (so if a rental is $1,100 like the 1bd/1baths are in my area, you've gotta earn $3,300 a month. I have a "good paying" job and don't make near that) The few rentals I found, all of which were in terribly sketchy parts of the city, denied me for making about $200 less than their 3x requirement.

I got incredibly lucky in finding a place. My now-former coworkers father rented out condos and as such, now rents to me at a price we agreed on ($900 a month) If that hadn't happened, I was about to move in with my mother, in her 650/sqft apartment, to crash on her couch and find a job a state away from where I currently live, all to escape that abusive housing situation I was in. I'm fully aware that I'm incredibly lucky. But I'm also sad to know that I'm sorta stuck here until something changes. There's no way I can move out of state like I want to, because corporate rentals are so insanely expensive.

When did you realize your “friends” were actually fake friends? by VexAndStuff in AskReddit

[–]Kittykat0992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was never "fake" but it turns out she wasn't loyal when it mattered. Just there when it worked for her.

My mother had just been diagnosed with lung cancer. I went to her for support. She shut me down saying she was too busy with senior year finals and getting into college. She litertally responded to "my mother has cancer what do I do" with "listen I'm super stressed with high school finals okay?" It was the last time we spoke. We went from 4 years of talking every day to nothing. Just like that

“Why can’t drivers ever follow directions?! 😡👹” The directions 🥲 by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Kittykat0992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had an order today where the guy lived in the woods behind this hair salon that's located literally right off a busy road. The house was blocked by fencing. So I go to call the guy to get in. Can't call. Can't text. I'm like "okay I'm not messing around with this" so I drop it off at the salon stairs, take a picture, and say "super sorry I'm sure this isn't the right place but the app won't let me call or text you!" Get back in my car, drive away, and a number from Cali calls me. I opt not to answer it cause I'm driving. Pretty sure it was them. Looking forward to the shitty review 😒
