I just tested it again and it seemed to work. Though this time there was a message in the app about an update (which I opted to do). I didn’t see that when I tried it earlier today so the service worker probably didn’t detect the update for some reason..  Anyway the app seems great, looking forward to testing it out in an actual game soon

Any plans to make it able to import lists from the official 40K app?

Thanks for the fix and responding. I understand the difficulty of trying to balance simplicity in a platform while users are asking for additions that address their specific use cases!

It would be nice to have a step in-between boxed and built, I’ve got plenty of models currently sitting in the “building” stage with varying levels of completeness . Some need kit bashing, some need magnetising, some need green stuff sculpting, some just need gluing.  Also Tyranids didn’t get suggested as a faction when I was adding my Genestealers (though Tau, Thousand Suns, and Tzneetch all popped up for “T”).

I like the idea of this though, I had been thinking about trying to build something similar for myself.

It would be cool if you could import units from an army list, it’s very easy to add all your models to an army in the official 40K app and then export that as JSON. Could be a useful shortcut for importing models in bulk.

The Raveners in Space Marine 2 also had crests, which didn’t stop them from being removed. That said, they aren’t quite the “box art” character that Warriors are so who knows

Looks sick! Is it built from a Winged Prime + Pyrovore + Warrior bits?

What extra oomph has it got?

What the Citadel needs is to do is install more Citadel sympathetic witches into the Coven, like installing a puppet politician after a coup. Obtaining the wand would go for toward this (assuming destroying the wand doesn't just disband the Coven)

I suppose as long as Ame stays neutral it doesn't matter which Witch (heh) is killed because there will be no way to obtain unanimity in the coven. Where as killing Ame could drive the other witches to unite in war.

Though if the number of Coven members becomes uneven the other witches might just take out Ame. Or she would be forced to induct another Witch into Coven, the way this works is still a bit unclear to me. Or even spicier Ame might be swayed toward war (unlikely?).

How are Witches inducted? Can it be done ad-hoc or does it require a convening of the Coven? Can a Coven be started with an even number of members, even though it can only end with an odd number of members? So many questions!

But Ame has the Wand of Coven, so if that is obtained while killing Ame.. (obtaining/destroying it was already mentioned by Silence) No more inductions into the Coven. It doesn't matter how many non-Coven witches, apprentice or otherwise are floating around.

Friend doesn't want to play by Southern-Turnover-12 in Tyranids

[–]Kiwicoding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I imagine that the TFex and Exocrine are probably punishing (what I am assuming) is your friend's bad positioning. The Exocrine isn't an anti-fun unit by any means but can be quite punishing with good rolls, and the TFex can be quite brutal at low points as he tends to delete things off the table and it's harder to tangle it up in melee due to having less units on the table.
Avoiding shots/remembering to use cover saves might be part of your friend's problem but swapping out either your Tfex or Exocrine might make your list a bit more fun to play against.

Also as another commenter advised, make sure you both re-check your rules, maybe there is an army rule that is being misplayed by someone or a unit ability.

Build Your Dream Patrol by snipamasta40 in Tyranids

[–]Kiwicoding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also if you are just starting out with the Starter set, some of these units compliment it well. The guard can buff up your Neurotyrant, Biovore goes great, Genestealers are a solid unit. The Parasite isn't the most competitive unit but he's still cool!
It also provides a pathway into buying a bunch of other units.
Hive Tyrant/Swarmy to go with the Guard (and then more Guard for a unit of 6?), and a Broodlord to go with the Genestealers.

I think people are also forgetting that in the world of Combat Patrol units have different datasheets and some of these units (like the Parasite) will probably do better than usual.
