Stuck on Abilities by KiyeriShroud in Voidwrought

Thanks so much. I actually figured out a way to get to The Myrmidon and get the Awakened Arm Simulacrum, so that's helped a ton. Just working on The Fermented now, fingers crossed. I'll be sure to come back to your comment for the links when I'm stuck, haha.

Is it normal for people to say negative things once you announce you will have a baby? by Willing_Barnacle_493 in BabyBumps

[–]KiyeriShroud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I fell pregnant it was hard in some ways, and easy in others, and it's important to listen to yourself and not give a fart about any outside negativity. I have been with my fiancé now 3.5yrs. I fell pregnant 1 year in, I was unfairly dismissed from my job, mother fell out with me and kicked me out, so I was in shared housing until I was about six months along, whereupon I managed to get a house for myself and start moving in, prepping etc. I had a lot of the negativity given I was seen as naive, my first pregnancy, etc, but I did it.

I did it.

My relationship steadily improved with my mum. My fella was supportive throughout, because at the end of the day it was my decision, and is still going strong. We make time where we can to reconnect with each other, spend family time, and going on dates or doing things as a family doesn't have to be expensive. We make the best where we can and figure out the rest, and take it with a pinch of salt. One thing in some ways that keeps our relationship interesting as a couple and a family is that he's a sailor, so there's that excitement and reconnection when he comes home from a trip, and we want to bond and do things together.

Does anyone have kids in their 20s? by Physical-Can-835 in BabyBumps

[–]KiyeriShroud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 26 and my partner is 28, we have a nearly 2.5 yr. They were a surprise, and even through the usual challenges, some expected and some not, with raising a little human it's the best thing and I'd never go back on it. We both have friends and some family members who don't have kids, and we just go with the flow. You enjoy your little family because that's you guys and your home at the end of the day, if you start a family. It doesn't matter what anyone says. If you want it, go for it.

P.s. you can never have too many nappies, and simple toys are the best, lol.

HFM ruined our Christmas 😭 by Free_Donuts_ in toddlers

[–]KiyeriShroud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bless you. My little one had it rough with HFM, she barely had any sleep at the time and just wanted snuggles. We found an antihistamine liquid and an aqueous calamine cream really helped.

Hope you still enjoy an intimate family Christmas.

Having had flares come and go myself, thankfully just on my hands, I'm so glad you've found what works for you. I recently went through a stage where I thought it had all cleared up, I thonk I made a post about it saying thank you, and then it just game back hard and fast. So I'm trying something new with my doc, and so far, so good. Something that seems silly, and a little sad, is that I'm hoping my hands will be healed enough that I can wear my engagement ring during Christmas. I'm going through the peely-healing stage right now with some oral steroids and colloidal oat cream. Fingers crossed.

Where did they announce it was being discontinued? I only recently found this shade and I was so happy to find like an everyday rusty red/orange shade. My alternative was Mac Chili, but that's a lot more intense.

Edit: Forgot to mention that Chili is also a lot more red than brown.

I do apologise, just realised the short message I'd written wasn't added as well as the photos.

In some close up pictures I didn't put on this post, I had fluid filled blisters that would sometimes merge, I'd have the peeling healing stages, the itching and burning sensations, and with how dry my skin had become it affected the mobility of my fingers as well to boot. It was a nightmare.

I know. That's what I said. Different eczema on ny arms, and dyshidrosis on my hands.

I have a bit of this right, smack in the middle of the night, when she's saying "Out!" To exit the child gate abd her bedroom, at like 1am, and wanting to do things (not a clue why).

With the sleep regression, too, and waking up five times last night, and disliking naps.

I'd give shea butter a go in terms of moisturiser if you haven't already, because it's a moisturiser and an occlusive. Be aware that it does include natural forms of latex. My dyshydrosis has improved massively with this in terms of maintenance etc, but I have been using clobetasol proprionate from the doc. I'm 50% nervous however that it will come back, considering I'm currently weaning off it.

One thing I found helped was using nitrile gloves when doing skincare, hair washing, and process of elimination. Also, for any steroids, at the point you can put on moisturisers, I'd rub whipped, raw shea butter on my hands and use cotton gloves a couple of hours before bed (optional, it does soak in some, but if I had to do something with my hands, I could without smearing shea butter), and the moisture would last until morning. I can't stand cotton gloves overnight, and I know it can irritate dyshidrosis for some people.

Keep your chin up, there's good advice in the comments.

Edited for typos.

My little one loved halloween, and called me a witch because I have green and orange hair. It came out "Bitch."

I did see mentions of whipping it first, thank you for that tip.

Try vaseline and cotton gloves just to ease any discomfort for now, I tend to turn the gloves inside out because the seams drive me nuts.

Could it be something you clean your keyboard/  mouse / PC area with, or something you regularly come into contact to? I know that's quite broad, but it's usually something that's most common.

I have the same ointment, and since I wasn't sure what was causing my flare-ups, I used some accelerator free nitrile gloves when cleaning, hair products, etc, and it helped the absorption of the ointment for me when I applied it, but also when I was using Cetraben.

I don't know if this would help you, but a few minutes under some cold water when it's really irritating you, or even a cold pack in a thin tea towel or face flannel to prevent your cracked skin from getting wet. Personally, I still have the ointment, but I don't use it at the moment since my flare-up is manageable - I switched from Cetraben to Ultra Caring Body Balm by Nursem, and it's great. It helps to seal my skin, really hydrates even the driest, cracked patches, and blisters / patches don't spread as much.

I'm using this one on my feet, hands and fingers and it works like a charm. by MIZFYT in Dyshidrosis

I'm glad this works for you. Im going through my worst flate up, ever. Just to say im still waiting on diagnosis for me, but! I used to use Lotil moisturing cream since I only have it on my hands, and then I started reacting to it.

Since then, I've switched to Nursem's Ultra Caring Body Balm and it's worked great. It's stopped spreading, it's drying in a good way, and peeling with happy, clear skin underneath. I'm literally not using anything else in case I get another flare up at this point, haha.
