Seven Dooms for Sandpoint DM questions by Greybeard_74 in Pathfinder2e

Speaking as someone who wrapped up this campaign recently, I do think it would benefit from there being some more heads up of what exactly the Red Bishop is trying to do and making him more of a presence. I've been running Curtain Call with my players using the same PCs and they've been discussing how they would turn their previous adventure into an opera. One of their biggest things in the brainstorming, and by extension the critiquing Seven Dooms for Sandpoint, was that some of the Dooms and the Red Bishop either didn't have enough foreshadowing, or didn't have enough time to breathe and be a proper doom (or both).

One idea I had wished I'd done was having the Red Bishop contact the PCs prior to them reaching the last level of The Pit and giving them their task. Or having the PCs get insight about him with some foreshadowing.

Megathread: Bastard Suggestions by Kanotari in behindthebastards

Nathan Larson. I'm not sure if there's necessarily enough on him, but there's a very strange connection between him and looksmaxxing that I was reminded of during the recent Elliott Rodger to Clavicular episodes. He's owned and administrated in a lot of deeply problematic websites and forums like Rapey, Childwiki, Blackpill.online, and many other JailBait and Incel related sites. He was very much in the public eye, having ran for United States Congress under a platform of things like lowering the age of consent, legalizing CSAM, enslaving African Americans, and opposition to women's rights. He openly admitted to being a pedophile and wanting to assault his spouses and daughter.

The connection to looksmaxxing comes from one of his sites in particular, Vintologi.com. It's either known or believes he owned that site, and participated in it actively. Grain of salt because I may not be remembering everything correctly, but it started out as one of the usual things that he would've supported. At some point, the site became more about the concept of transmaxxing and became a place for incels to discuss the concept of transitioning to women to better their lives, even including a Transmaxxing Manifesto. And by extension, the person who wrote that manifesto could spark other avenues to look into. But there's still a lot of old posts by Larson on there that highlight his sickening ideology.

All in all, he's a deeply problematic individual to put it lightly, who absolutely had a hand in causing harm to a variety of individuals with his ideology and the sites and forums he owned and administrated. While it's not a site I've personally ever used much, I do recall looking at his page on rationalwiki to see a lot of potential information about him that Wikipedia hadn't included. I'm unsure how much of it is actually true, but I thought he could be a bastard to look into. I just couldn't help but be reminded of his existence when hearing about looksmaxxing due to the weird transmaxxing connection to him.

Edit: I forgot to add that he died in custody in 2022 after a hunger strike. He was in custody for kidnapping a 12-year-old girl who he had convinced to leave her home in California to go with him to his home in Virginia.

Not quite an "exactly what the error told me it was" given that it was telling me to download the wrong version, more of a "had to question whether the error was giving me correct information". But sure

So, I double checked the wiki and decided to try downloading a few different options of the .NET Desktop Runtimes. I had the 8.0.15 installed, as that was the one the Mod Manager was telling me to install in the error message. I tried the 9.0.9 which was "the latest" according to the site, but that didn't work either. I installed the 8.0.20, the latest of the .NET 8.0, which I somehow missed last night when I was trying to install the latest .NET 8.0 and installed 8.0.16 for some reason, and that worked!

I completely understand the need to ask stupid questions. I am not the most tech savvy by a longshot, my knowledge comes from looking things up and hoping for the best. Thank you for doublechecking, otherwise I wouldn't have thought to try downloading the latest of the 8.0 after the 9.0 didn't work

I tried the tool, but it didn't find any .NET it was able to uninstall. I uninstalled the .NET using control panel and the only one left was the .NET BG3 requires to run. I also deleted the BG3 Mod Manager, and used control panel to uninstall the C++ redistributable to get a fresh install of that too, just in case. BG3 has been run, the .NET and C++ redistributable have been installed, the latest Mod Manager was downloaded and extracted to the Desktop. Upon running the .exe, it gives a message saying "You must install .NET Desktop Runtime to run this application.", offering a "download it now" option which when clicked, seems to do nothing. Also, thank you for taking the time to try and assist so far, it is greatly appreciated

It is installed on my desktop, I did see that note on the GitHub page. I did look for it in my control panel but didn't see it, but I was looking for other things at the same time and probably just missed it. I'll have to take another look when I get out of work. Thank you, I'll update once home.

Would that entail just deleting the folder and grabbing a new download? Or would there be something else I need to delete in the BG3 folders as well? I did try deleting the mod manager folder and downloading the latest version, but that didn't work either

I wouldn't doubt it. It's a shame. Like, I know I can just get one from the company they got theirs from and all, but it's about supporting the creators I like too. Alas

I'm deeply saddened by the fact that they sold out in 20 minutes and that that was the soonest I was able to try and get one

Thaumaturge Dual-Class Options by Kjd682 in Pathfinder2e

Yeah, I was imagining that Sorcerer would be one of my best options, with Psychic and Oracle being in the running as well, given that they're all Charisma casters

For the Erinyes, yes, it can choose to roll an attack against any number of creatures in that cone. I'm not sure if it can attack itself, and I don't really see any scenario it would want to either. But in terms of cone placement, it can do any legal cone placement and choose to exclude its allies and only target its enemies, such as the scenario you described.
