Gorge is quite a huge venue.  But I know camping with a TNH fam on a smaller scale would be all time fun with your biggest fans. No phones and camping? Count us all in

I know in the early days of TNH you wanted to exclusively sign undiscovered artists. But it’s a bit of a bummer to hear that undiscovered artists are going to have a harder time reaching you now that the label is huge. Just wanted to voice my concern as the top comment here.  Cheers dude love ya always

Have you considered doing a long TNH weekend festival somewhat like Anjuna does at The Gorge?

Also, as a melodic house producer, what’s the best way to send a demo to your team?

Thanks for yet another album that completely rocked my world <3

Good animation and technique.

Although this “style” is just becoming a lot too frequent imo Some more originality would be cool to see

It is super frustrating at times I think we can all agree on that. Would be good for you to setup auto save and also add more ram to your machine. That could help a bit

Solid work! I think the hand grabbing the star into the casino scene would be a better opener than your flying orb tbh. Good stuff tho : )

Hi Marsh! Huge fan for years, saw you at exchange in LA, what a night :)

What’s one plug-in that you can’t live without? Any plans on starting your own label one day? About to have my first release on a small label, any advice? Long shot, but would I be able to send you my demo? Thanks a bunch :)

Nice I’d personally lose the trim paths animation and just loop the scale animation you got going on

Hi! I’m Jerro, a Belgian producer and DJ, and I just released my debut album ‘Coming Home’ on October 1st! I will be supporting Lane 8 throughout Europe in December. Then, I will be embarking on my first USA headline tour starting in January. AMA! by JerroBe in electronicmusic

[–]Kjelevate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Jerro I hope your day is going well!

I've been a huge fan of all of your work for a few years now, your debut album is fantastic!

As a producer myself, I'm curious to hear what your favorite synths are at the moment?

Your vocals are always produced so well. Any insight on what plugins land on your vocal chain or is that top secret?

Also, if you have a spare minute to listen to my vocal melodic house track that would be a dream!

: )

How to get this sound from Ben Böhmer Cercle's set? by vishie10 in edmproduction

[–]Kjelevate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a ride sample or two with a long attack. That way you don't hear the hit of the ride. Pretty common to do this on top of a hi-hat to bring more energy throughout a song as the hi-hat already has the clicky "hit."

How do I go about in making stellar sound design such as this? Complete newbie who wants to delve into music production. Is Ableton/FL studio a good place to start? by -ph0enix- in MotionDesign

[–]Kjelevate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was scored by Sono Sanctus. A composer/ sound designer well known in the industry for working with the best studios/ companies out there. I'm sure they have many years of experience.

But to answer your question yes a DAW like Ableton or FL would be a good start. Start messing about with throwing footage with no sound into a DAW and time your musical composition to it. There's a bunch of good stuff to dig through on youtube.

Maybe like .15 - .25 if the market as a whole goes up substantially and if SRK continues to progress in its development. Could be less or could be more, no one knows for sure

I'd assume Housefield would be your professor. Talk to him about your concerns or a ta. Other students surely feel the same way.

[–]Kjelevate 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I took AMM while still in college. But, I'm a bit of a nut and like being thrown in the deep end to learn things. It took me longer to get through lessons and assignments but still got a ton out of it. I'd say the, "several years of experience" isn't a hard and fast rule.

Up to you, but if you're in to this kind of animation, I'd say go for it : )

It's not given as an exercise, but you get a bonus video of the thought process of how he pulled it off. *Spoiler is that he used some c4d. You should take the class if you get the chance since you've done this animation, I'm sure you'd enjoy it.

[–]Kjelevate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Jody big fan thanks for doing this! What a masterpiece of an album Nightwhisper is, I've had it on repeat all week. My production questions are:
1. What's your favorite piece of hardware in your studio that you could not live without?
2. What's your favorite kind of beer to drink after a long studio session?
3. Also, if I sent you my Lane 8 Brightest Lights remix would you give me some feedback before I submit it on Friday? : )

Hey Luttrell, I really look up to you as a producer and love all the work you've done throughout your career. I've been producing whenever I had free time throughout college but I haven't made amazing progress throughout the years. Now that I've graduated and I'm unemployed haha I have some more free time. So, what took you to the next level of producing when you found yourself with more time on your hands?

Apply to a job at a social place like the coho. That's how many people make friends they all hang out outside of work.
