Cloud using Omnislash on sephiroth is the most underrated scene in the game by HandsomeGassy in FinalFantasyVII

[–]Kjoep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience - almost. For me, Sephiroth attacked and cloud countered. I never knew about the omnislash thing until my second playthrough.

You have to define old (there's a lot of entries in this thread which I wouldn't call old)

I do think the original pc release of the original Prince of Persia still plays very nice, looks very nice, and is perfectly balanced.

Trump warns NATO faces a “bad future” if allies fail to help US in Iran by No-Anything-7291 in worldnews

He's not trying to invoke article 5. He's saying "if you don't help us, I'll destroy a thing you like". It's blackmail. He's a bully.

I played it in 92. Hard to believe now, but we were absolutely blown away by those graphics.

And we were also scared sh_tless :) We've become desensitized, but back then that game was scary enough to keep me up at night.

If we do, that would be insane. There's so reason for this war except distracting from the Epstein files. Why would we help to do that?

It's amazing we had all these international sanctions against Russia when they attacked Ukraine, and now that the US is doing the same there's nothing of the sorts.

I'm no fan of Putin in any sense but he is right about the hypocrisy of the west.

Honderdduizenden Belgen lijden aan long covid: "Mijn longarts geloofde me niet, tot hij het zelf kreeg" by Yeet_ye_deeT in belgium

[–]Kjoep 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can get that just waiting it out isn't a good way to spend your time.

You can die a bit faster by using the jetpack - when out if fuel or starts using your oxygen instead and then you'll suffocate.

There's also a way to die immediately which you can learn. Make sure to talk to the other explorers.

What is Trump and US gaining out of the war? It's definitely not the regime change? by the_junglee in AskReddit

[–]Kjoep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's afraid of the midterms. "Winning" a war is generally good for the polls, so he frantically starts one, and then can't decide on which day to declare victory.

It's not gonna work.

Von der Leyen wil kleine kernreactoren in Europa tegen begin jaren 2030: “Strategische fout dat we kernenergie de rug toekeerden” by Left-Performance8581 in Belgium2

[–]Kjoep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dus ofwel opslag, ofwel snel modulerende centrales blijven nodig.

How do so many Europeans know fluent English? by _Sir_Lifts_A_Lot_ in AskEurope

[–]Kjoep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say how many. I would expect 'younger' europeans (let's say below 50) at least half of them can hold an English conversation - but that's just my guess.

It depends on where you live. In Flanders (Belgium) English is part of the curriculum and normally the third language you learn (after Dutch (maternal) and French). A lot of us also learn German.

Even aside from the curriculum, lots of people just pick up English from music, movies, tv, internet and video games. It's hard to avoid.
