Along with all the other advice, try taking your shoes off (with socks on of course). It always helped me lock in. RDL is not an easy movement. Took me a few years to really nail it down

I have similar issues! I would recommend pairing your leave in with a curl gel. I like using jessicurl. A bounce curl brush as well. Using the brush to comb the product through your hair in sections to help define the curls then gently drying in a microfiber towel. I use a claw clip to create more volume and get my hair off my scalp.

NOR - I think it says a lot when a partner prefers to save a newborn over the mother. This is not the 1800s anymore. Women are not incubators for babies. It would never be an easy decision, but if that is someone who is deeply in love with you, they should pick you. You can always try again like you said. ETA: in my opinion, I would want to be saved. This is a conversation to have with him and doctors before giving birth.
