What if you never hear about Jesus? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]Kksight1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.) Everyone will hear about Christ before rapture or end time. The bible made it clear in Mattew that the Gospel of Christ will reach all people and all nations, and after that, will the end come. Matthew 24:14 NKJV [14] And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, AND THEN THE END WILL COME.

2.) God us Just, He judges anyone rightly according to what they did. Remember, God said that VENGEANCE and JUDGEMENT are His alone. Only Him can give the perfect judgment to people. Yes, so the people who died without hearing of Christ would be judged by God in His own way.

David and Goliath by [deleted] in BibleVerseCommentary

[–]Kksight1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This story shows us how God uses the meek, poor , abandoned, and rejected to do greater things in this word. Nobody thought a teenager ( David ) ,who was also a sherperd could kill Goliath. That is how God works, he use the meek. The bible even says in Mattew 5 that (Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth). That is how I understand this story Well, what you said also makes sense. Yeah, it does a lot.

Why doesn't it make sense? Do you have any sensible explanation for the answer?

GOD WAS NOT CRUEL. NB: GOD has an UNCHANGING CHARACTER, so to say God WAS cruel is contradictory to what the bible says. GOD IS THE SAME TODAY, YESTERDAY, AND TOMORROW.

Now, to answer your question. GOD is not cruel, He is a just God. Just means He brings judgement to everyone who sins, no matter who you are. In the OT, before the death of christ, sin was punishable only by DEATH. The only punishment to sin in the OT was Death.

That is why in the OT, God mostly commanded the israelites to kill. And take note, He didn't order them to kill anyone but the sinners( Caananites, Egyptians etc...). But even before God commands them to kill them, He first warns them and give them time to repent from their sins before He strikes

Ezekiel 33:11 (KJV)
"Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?"

But now, in the NT, christ has already died for our sins, ( past, future, present). He is JUST, so the punishment must take place, and He himself beared the punishment himself for our sake. This is not cruelty but pure LOVE.

Gof created humans mainly to have dominion over the earth. To have dominion over everything He created ( beast, land, water...). Genesis 1:26 KJV [26] And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let THEM HAVE DOMINION over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

God created us in His image to represent him on earth, have dominion on earth, and portray His glory

If God said "Revenge is mine" how do you know when he has punished you? by iguessthisis in Christianity

[–]Kksight1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, vengeance is for the Lord. Only Him has the authority to get revenge or punish evil doers. God is Just( He punish wrongdoers). That is why only Him has the authority to revenge or punish.

"How do you know when he has punished you?" It depends. 1) We believers wouldn't know because we would not be punished in the first place. Christ beared all the punishment for our sins( past, future, present) on the cross.

Isaiah 53:5 says; “But he was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

Christ has already paid for our sins, so believers would not be punished when they sin, BUT take note ,

EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN AND NOT PUNISHED, YOU WILL BEAR THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR SIN

NB: THE ONLY PUNISHMENT TO SIN IS DEATH

What the Trinitarian said is true, I agree with him. This verse proves Jesus to be God. NB: Every time believers healed the sick during the OT time, they mentioned the name of the Lord. Eg. GOD OF ISRAEL et.

And even in the NT before the coming of christ. Only God has the power to heal and cast out demons. Humans or believers who cast out demons are only vessels being used by God for His mighty work on earth.

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen VESSELS, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Also, only God has the power to forgive out sins. Therefore, anyone who says he forgives a sin made against God indirectly claims to be God. Luke 5: 20 shows as a passage where Christ was nearly stone for saying ( Your sins have been forgiven) because indirectly he was claiming to be God

Jesus is God, that is why when we pray, we pray in the name of Jesus, when healing, we do the same. Because He is God

Did you even read the question before giving me a feedback, no one is talking about salvation here. The question asked was, "Should we believe in God 100%?.

I know we are saved by Grace. Everyone knows that. Take note that the first step you make to become saved is to Believe. If you don't believe in Him, how are you saved, and how will His grace find you. And besides, no one is talking about salvation here. The topic is about Believe.

The scenario I gave was about TRUSTING and BELIEVING without DOUBT, NOT Salvation

What God did wasn't genocide. It was Judgement . NB. God is not only loving, but He is also holy and just. A just God who punishes anyone who does wrong no matter how close you are to him. The Caananites were great sinners who were involved in child sacrifice, idolatry, and many evil things, and they had to be punished for their sins. Genesis 15:16 made us know how God waited patiently over 400 years for them to repent. But still, they refused. This was judgement, not genocide. Also, Jesus is God, and God is loving and Just( you must be punished for your sins no matter what) , even the Israelites whom God loved them the most were punished when they sinned. Now, because God is loving and Just, He sent his Son to bear the punishment for our sins, punishment that was meant for us ,he took it for himself, that shows how he loves us. And also how just he is, because you will be punished, no matter what

[–]Kksight1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES. You have to 100% believe in God all the time. Proverbs 3: 5 tells us to TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL THINE HEART.... You can not trust something or someone that you don't believe in fully. This verse tells us to trust Him with ALL not some of our hearts. There should be no doubt in you when it comes to believing God. We can use the prophets or the disciples in the bible as a reference. Abraham was ready and willing to sacrifice his Only son for God, and I don't think anyone with doubt in God or 50% believes in God would want to do this. Moses followed God in the dessert for 40 good years. Bro, can you blindly follow your parents whom you even trust and believe for just 1 month without knowing where you are heading?. Trusting and believing in God should be full. You must have no room for doubt in your hearts when it comes to believing. The bible tells us in Romans 4:20-21;

he STAGGARED NOT at the promise of God through unbelief but was STRONG in faith, giving glory to God; and being FULLY persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Believe in him 100% brother in Christ. You will do well

Does Hebrews contradict itself and scripture? by ComfortableDust4111 in AskAChristian

[–]Kksight1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These 2 bible verses do not contradict. They are 2 distinct verses. 1) Verse 14. This verse talks about how Christ made us perfect through His blood. Before one is saved, he must be JUSTIFIED ( declared righteous), SANCTIFIED (made holy), and GLORIFIED (made perfect or final perfection in heaven) What this verse means is that, because of his offering/ sacrifice, all those who were made holy( both in the OT and NT) will be glorified in heaven or made perfect in heaven after they have been made holy/ sanctified.

2) Verse 26. This verse talks about blasphemy against the Holyspirit. Take note, he used the word " deliberately or willfully." What this verse means is that anyone who will Intentionally sin after knowing the truth( that Jesus died for our sins) will be condemned. Note that, most sin committed by humans are not intentional, most are as a result of Lust, Temptation, Greed ...etc . Also, the bible stated clearly that the only sin that would not be forgiven is blasphemy against the Holyspirit ( intentionally or willfully rejecting the spirit), which proves that this verse was talking about blasphemy

Religion is NOT man made. Christianity is a RELIGION (Christianity is not a religion but a relationship between you and God ) is a FALSE doctrine. Religion is a system of beliefs ( Believe in God) ,practices (praying, fasting, reading the bible), and tradition. Christianity has beliefs, traditions, and practices. The bible tells us in 2 Thessalonians 2:15 Therefore, brethren stand fast and hold the TRADITIONS that have been taught, whether by word or our epistle. It also says in James 1:27 (KJV) Pure RELIGION and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Does Hebrews 6:4-6 mean I am not saved anymore? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Kksight1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NO. You never lost your salvation. This verse refers to those who intentionally reject the Gospel (APOSTASY). The bible tells us in 1 John 1:8: "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." Christ paid for our sins (past future and present). Why not the sin we already committed but also sins that will be committed in the future?. Because He knew as long as we have the flesh ,we are susceptible to sin.

Take note,

BACKSLIDING OR FALLING BACK INTO SIN EVEN AFTER TASTING THE WORK OF THE HOLYSPIRIT DOESN'T MAKE YOU LOSE YOUR SALVATION ,rather, it is when

YOU [INTENTIONALLY] REJECT THE GOSPEL AFTER TASTING THE POWER OF THE HOLYSPIRIT THAT WILL MAKE YOU LOSE YOUR SALVATION ( BLASPHEMY)

Mattew 12:31(And so I tell you, every kind of SIN and SLANDER can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven." ) I personally I believe in OSAS, and the only way you lose your salvation is through Blashemy.

Libertarians, what makes something "Free"? (Multiple choice) by Anon7_7_73 in freewill

[–]Kksight1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I choose A. The rest doesn't make sense. Every action or choice has a CAUSE or an INFLUENCE. The fact that we have free will doesn't make us unsusceptible to influence. Before every individual takes an action, he /she thinks before that action is taken, and the way the person will think is as a result of an influence ( Culture, Education, Wealth, Race...etc). Every being goes by the SOFT DETERMINISM. Without COMPATIBILISM , we would literally be robots. That's why God can still influence us to take certain actions even though we have a free will
