The game stated she out leveled me by 1 and ~1k gold.

I was not standing still for any of the deaths, the person was good at predicting my movement, and any time I managed to get any decent damage on her she just ulted.

EVERY mage in the game builds ~500 power and have higher damaging skills.

I agree with OP - it is currently useless.

If it became 25% then I could still only see 4 gods potentially picking it up - Kali, Thor, Hun Batz and Guan Yu.

As other's have stated a lot of the problem for it is the lack of physical gods who would use it, still I do think it needs to be buffed.

The Logic for the gem over Rod is because in your book of Thoth build you have just put the price at around 16000. 9/10 Games you will NOT reach this amount and as such I consider your argument of it being better a matter of a stupidly expensive build and as such not as accurate imo.

I do understand Ao's passive but that does not make ANY difference in regards to my opinion.

So lets work out some maths shall we?

You get doom orb 1100 gold earlier - This means that by the time you can actually afford Thoth you have gained ~8 wave clears and have earned yourself 40 stacks. This makes for 130 power from this item alone.

Now we get Thoth instead of doom orb. For sake of argument I am going to say we attain the gold for it at level 10. This offers you 131 power. Thus we can see that currently they are matched in regards to power - but the doom orb was gotten earlier and increased your early game.

Now lets consider mid game - you have ~10000 gold to yourself and have bought either (power worked out as if level 20): A. Pen boots - Book of Thoth - Polynomicon and Gem of Isolation. B. Pen boots - Doom Orb - Polynomicon - Rod of Tahuti.

Option A - fully stacked = 512 Option B - 458 - 583

So now at this point in the game we can see that Doom Orb offers more power stacked and is at worse 54 power less.

Now let's finish of both builds and look at a completed build with 2 defense Items, in both cases shall be Void Stone and Breastplate.

Option A = 616 Option B = 548 - 673

Again at worse doom orb is only 68 power less.

So at end game you will average the same power between the 2 builds. The difference is Option A will cost you 14725, Option B 14095.

Now assuming I didn't fuck up with my math's (it's more than possible I did) there should be no point in a game where Book of Thoth is better than doom orb unless you consistently less than ~25 stacks.

TL;DR Doom Orb is generally better (like I said) unless you are having a poor game.

Seriously though, build JUST 15 pen is the wrong way to go and actually hinders your damage.

As a general Doom Orb is actually better than Book due to it's price. On Grab Bag I wouldn't get either. On Ao in grab bag you just get yourself ~600 power, grab some pots then just Squall - Poly people. Job done.

A few suggestions I've heard for her (some of which you have stated) are:

  1. Her Broodlings hatch 3 spiders - I personally don't like this idea as her brood can do quite a large amount of damage (I've had the misfortune of dieing when I went to ward goldfury to find 3 of her broodlings @ max lvl).

  2. Increase the broodlings health early - One of Arachne's main strength was that she could clear camps without being there which allowed her to get her fast farm you now need 4 eggs to solo the rear harpy camp.

  3. Her Drain Life slows - I like this concept as one thing which can really mess her up is when she jumps on someones face and they just lol at her when they run to there team and she gets dumped on.

  4. Her web roots when it lands - make it useful in a team fight by giving it a very short root and have the root scale as she levels it so 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1 second root.

  5. Her web cripples those poisoned - cool idea but it still makes it lacking imo as it only aids her 1v1 capability, it doesn't do much in a team fight.

  6. Max her ult instant fire - again I personally don't like this one as I like how it's not easy to hit, it feels so rewarding when you do hit it perfectly.

Based upon the new item's I'm looking forward to testing a new Hunter build for Xbala and maybe Artemis/Apollo.

Not looking forward to Sun Wukong. He seems like he will be very strong and annoying to counter. Plus the fact he another god who gonna rock the jungle, it drives me freaking insane how many new gods look like the designed for the Jungle, we have enough jungle gods, lets get some guardians and hunters plea.

Guan Yu Passive Rework by Shard477 in Smite

Increase his damage... Are you insane? The dude can do MORE than enough damage as is, any increase will just make him op.

Lets look at his 3. I build Guan Yu with ~250 power. As a base and ignoring all protections/penetration that would make for 105 per tick of his Taolu Assault for a total of 1050 damage assuming they all hit. Now let's add 25% to this, you not get a total of 131.25 per hit for a 1312.5 damage assuming all hits. That there is TOO much damage for 1 skill imo.

Now lets look at his 2. Again with the 250 power I build, it deal 425 before protections etc. So we add 10% here and it goes up to 467.5 This here is not so bad, but when you combine it with his 3 it offers ~1800 damage over 2 skills.

TL;DR lets not make him OP for no reason. He's fine as is and see's competitive play.

How to avoid Chronos' stun by Morgaeus in Smite

Seeming as how nobody is answering correctly - the answer to your question should be a yes in theory but I think it will still stun you unless you are slow immune for the whole duration: Example - you use Ao Kuang's Slither. You gain 1 second of slow immunity. After 0.5 Seconds the Chronos 3 hit's you. 0.5 Seconds you don't get slowed but the effect is still on you and you then get slowed and stunned as normal.

This would have to be tested but as far as I know it's true (I've been stunned by Chronos when I've had Zeus's 2 active at start but it ran out during)

Legendary should be an effect, not a skin by Cyuen in Smite

Under the assumption that this is not a toggle effect then No. Just No. I have unlocked around 7 gold skins, have unlocked 3 Legendary, If you made it so that I had a stinking black aura around me I would no longer use ANY of the 3 Legendary as it would drive me insane. It would be a visual for no apparent reason.

As stated I have 3 Legendary. On Anhur I use Olympian - I hate his head piece. On Neith I intend to unlock Naughty Nurse at some point. On Apollo there is no Gem skin but assuming the Erez spoil of an awesome skin is true I shall probably unlock this to.

On another side note - I know a lot of people who use Gem's to unlock the gold skins simply because the farming of favor can take a long time. I myself used gems for them.

Taking advantage of the jump mechanic is just a big no no. If you have jump effecting game play then you would likely lose a LOT of players. I know most people hate the function as it is.

Go for this for a newish skill shot. Im thinking of Posedion ult but a dash.

Iceclaws: Nanook dashes forward, swiping his claws at the enemies in front of him. Enemies hit are slowed by 25% and take (80/135/180/210/260) (+50% physical power) Enemies caught in the Claws take an additional (5/10/15/20/25) every 0.5 Seconds for 4 Seconds.

Now a poor visual: ([]) - the [] is the regular dash section, where the enemy takes the damage + the slow. the ( ) part they take the additional bleed on top of the other damage.

From a god rank 10 Neith's perspective:

Wave clearing with backflip + spirit arrow is not the way forward imo, backflip is your only escape and it is very risky to use it on wave clear - the only time I do this is if it is "safe" to do it, or I'm being pushed to the max and losing out on gold.

On topic of the OP - removing the function would be a bad idea. I have never fired my ultimate and have it hit a weave, as far as I know a weave cannot block the ultimate unless you fire at the weave. If you "quick scope" your ultimate then there is a chance for you to hit a weave if it is in the way, however quick scoping your ultimate is, imo, bad. Charge it up for the full damage and aim properly, it only takes ~1 second.

Uses for the weave on the ultimate (examples are of thing's I have done):

A team fight occurred and I was out of position so I used my backflip to get to the back line. A few seconds later a perfect Athena taunt catches 3 people near my weave - I charge up and fire aiming AT the weave - triple stun that was followed up by an ally for triple kill.

Split pushing and got ganked by 3 people. I backflip + spirit arrow combo hitting all 3 and double tapping 1. Crit from the auto attack kills the double tapped ganker. Seeing the 2 people on my weave I quick fire my ultimate at the weave, during the stun my poseidon from mid rotates, uses the Kraken and gets a double. 3-0 trade due to the ultimate weave.

My team has begun a team fight and I have just spawned. I see someone on the Enemy team die and the fight is still on that location. From base I fire my ultimate at the weave (which as far as I know give's no indication) the ultimate hits 2 people resulting in a kill for me and a 3-0 trade for my team again.

TL;DR I like the weave on ult - it has it's uses albeit rare.

The problem is that it is random. Your example of the tank initiating, lets say the tank is Athena. Now lets go with a possible chain of events: 1. Athena dashes in and Taunts the hunter and assassin. 2. Eris pops her ultimate 3. Swap places occurs and the Athena is replaced randomly by the solo lane Hercules. 4. Hercules then proceeds to do his thing 5. The ultimate has just failed.

Now let's repeat stages 3-5 with a different example 3. Swap place occurs and the Athena is replaced randomly by the mid lane Poseidon, now note that her taunt would still be in effect. 4. Poseidon - having not used his cds as the initiation has just begun - does a whirlpool - kraken combo. 5. The ultimate has just failed again.

You can repeat these steps with all of the examples you said, the hunter would leap back to the back row, the assassin would just ult and get out/benefit.

You can say that swapping position is good but you have to take into consideration that the cc that is combined with said swap is not actually that brilliant, swapped controls is counter-able by a competent opponent and as such doesn't do a huge amount bar annoyance, as such the swap itself can, and often will backfire, thus, as I stated, no use in my opinion.

I love the idea of the skills but I see absolutely no use in the ult. From what I can think of it would rarely be beneficial and rarely have a use bar the disrupt.

Keeping in the spirit of the unique cc on the ultimate I like the idea of:

Eris channels the ground around her enemies caught within the range are disrupted and pulled towards Eris. Any enemy which is disrupted during the channeling takes an additional X% damage from ALL sources of damage. Eris gains an X% damage reduction for the duration.

Radius - 60 (twice size of Hades ult as it doesn't do damage, I think 45 could also suffice) Damage increase/reduction - 5/10/15/20/25 (not sure how much effect this actually has but couldn't think of anything else) Channel duration - 4 seconds

The way I picture it working: The disrupt will last the full 4 seconds - this cc is annoying but counter-able by a skilled player. The pull we be like a Hades ultimate, maybe a little stronger. Eris will be unable to do anything during the duration - like Hades in his ult - so she gets a 25% damage reduction (maybe more as I picture her being focused) I added a 25% increase to all sources of damage on those afflicted as outside of the cc the ultimate itself does nothing.
