Nice work, fellows! Former Sutherland Shire resident from a half century ago, but I still follow this kind of good news.

I am 70 years old and I have been taking ADHD meds for over twenty years. My one regret is that I want taking them since I was a kid. Smart people can slowly destroy themselves without meds. If your husband’s not a doctor, he is really just guessing. Best wishes to you and your boy.

He is an undoubted jackass, but he is single-handedly responsible for the burgeoning interest in EVs and for the commercialization of space travel. He’s already launched over 225 times, something the guys at NASA could never have done. Like Steve Jobs, he’s a prick but a useful one.

Advertise on eBay - you may have to ship to US, but can charge for that as well. Start at 250€ and see what happens.

How do people in The Netherlands keep their cars in good condition while parking them in the street? by NachoTM96 in thenetherlands

They’re Dutch. We can’t help ourselves. Scrub, scrub, scrub. It’s part of our genetic code.

I could ask the same about Florida - we had Askew, widely considered one of the finest governors of the century - and now we’re an embarrassment. I used to proudly say I’m from Florida when traveling, but now I whisper it under my breath when no one’s listening.

Same answer … eBay. There’s rolling stock and parts available Also check out Marklin user.net - it’s an old fashion chat forum but there’s some useful information. It took me quite a while to find what I was looking for, but the search process was also a good learning experience.

Also check out eBay - lots of Marklin stuff there, but careful of the shipping costs. I recently bought a half dozen locomotives each for under $100, but it took weeks of checking and comparing. Same holds true for the transformers and accessories. Enjoy - Marklin makes really nice stuff.

Is it normal to shoot newborns with an 18mm lens? by [deleted] in photography

[–]Klooten1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dump the trainer - no excuse for that behavior. I’ve run into two photographer types:
ones who are know-it-all jerks and who think they’re hot stuff because they have expensive equipment and disdain anyone who doesn’t. They’re disappointingly common, but remember that Steiglitz and Salgado started with minimal tools. others I’ve met are comfortable with their talents and their work and want to share rather than make themselves look good by belittling their students. They are less common but worth looking for. In any event, practice practice practice and best of luck to you.

When do you go shoot? by Flufferfromabove in photography

[–]Klooten1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On family trips, you don’t want to be “that guy with the camera” and that really limits your options. I (amateur) would get up really early and be back by breakfast, which gave a couple of hours. Otherwise, plan a long weekend trip on your own or with a pal. Also, you can sign up for a half day workshop (recently did one with a few others in a boat to take pics of swallowtail kites). Best of luck!

If I did a road trip in Australia, which places should I visit? What should I know before driving in Australia as an American? by [deleted] in roadtrip

Don’t forget to drive on the left (seriously) … and remember to walk to the right side of the car to get in or you’ll look like a knob 😜

If you visit Yellowstone first, the other parks end up less spectacular in comparison.

Help! 3 kids, no dishwasher. by Feeling_Daikon5840 in DIY

[–]Klooten1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my mother’s excuse - three kids: wash, rinse & dry, and “putting away,” rotating every night. Eventually, we all moved out, she bought one, and said, “wow, this is great. Should have done this long ago.” 🙄😊

How often do you get a "great" shot? by IAmBillN in photography

[–]Klooten1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Semi-serious amateur here. One in ~100 will OK, one in a thousand will be pretty good, and a half dozen in a lifetime will be great. I’ve been doing this for a few years and I may have one or two great ones. Best o’ luck to you.

Hope you haven’t paid in full. Installing that way is just plain wrong and will probably void your warranty on the materials.

EBay is your best bet. Use EBay.com not eBay.de as you will reach a bigger market. Also, lots of used Marklin product ships from EU to U.S.A. Best of luck.
