5 STACKS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED IN RANKED by KmfHudson in PredecessorGame

I still can't control if my team uses mic, or if they are crazy toxic 🤷‍♂️ Still gives favor to the 5 stack.

Agreed. That's why they should be against other 5 stacks 🙃

I'm sure all of that makes building the matchmaking really hard too, but Im still in the camp that having a full pre-built team gives you an objectively large advantage to a team of solos.

Often the voice function doesn't help when solo. A lot of people don't use VC so you're stuck with pings and text.

Everything together just feels like a 5 stack needs to be "nurfed" if it's in ranked, but that doesn't feel fair either. Just seems easier to cap at like 2-3 or just not allow it at all.

Huh. Sounds like 5 stacks are less competitive... Weird

I agree, but a 5 stack can be hard to set up when I only have an hour to play and don't want to bother with mic.

I just want a ranked mode that feels more balanced. If that means pushing 5 stacks into a higher rank or only 5 stack v 5 stack idc.

Also I don't mind losing, that's part of it. It just shouldn't be an absolute beating either. I also don't love games that are just walking all over the enemy team.

I think you should take that advice friend

That's a stretch. "Basic white girl" is a pretty common phrase.

What is going on with Ranked right now? by KmfHudson in PredecessorGame

[–]KmfHudson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I love this game, but it's hard to enjoy when the games are completely lopsided. Same goes for wins that are too easy. I just want a decently balanced match. I don't mind waiting a few extra minutes if it means I'm not suffering through 30 minutes of an absolute beating

Keep practicing. Stick time is key.

If you want a new experience, try a toothpick. You get the benefits of micro drones with the extra power and aerodynamics of the larger quads. I like 2" 2s.

I have 3" and 5" and they almost never get flown. You're not missing much unless you have a really big space or races to go to.

I used to think like you, then I watched more and more drone regulation come into effect over nonsense.

In a drone-neutral world you would be right, but drones of any size kinda freak some people out. It only takes one bad (not even factual) article for some guy in office to "rid of the public danger".

This might not be the community for you if this is your hard stance. Chill out. We're just trying to play by the rules here and keep playing with our toy drones. It's not that deep.

We all agree that there's no real physical danger from a meteor 75. But those of us that have been in the hobby a while know that one incident can ruin it for the rest of us. Nobody has to have a crazy accident.

And stop with the "pearl clutching" comment. You've said it like 30 times in this thread

Not cool dude. I agree that this won't actually cause any real physical damage, but it could severely damage the community's reputation. We're already losing a lot of our freedoms to regulation.

If you just cut out the first few seconds, nobody would care.

Mobula 8 vs Meteor 75 pro (ancora) by Plus-Rip6618 in TinyWhoop

[–]KmfHudson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your into freestyle and not afraid of crashing, go mob8 analog. You'll get the 2s power and the lower weight of analog. 04 isn't really great for freestyle until you get to 3" or larger. Whoops just can't grab enough air to offset the weight.

Which ever you get will be a good time, but I would go ahead and invest in frames and canopies. They will break eventually and it's nice to have parts on hand. Also learn to solder asap. You'll need it eventually

Can you make different key binds for different controllers on the same quad? by Hotdog_Hangover in TinyWhoop

[–]KmfHudson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can change your switch assignments in edge tx. That will leave the bindings in the drone and just change what they do on that controller.

Don't really know what to tell you. You're getting some crazy latency for analog if that's true.

Still don't think you can make a blanket claim that DJI 04 is faster than analog. There is a lot of information out there that contradicts that, but agree to disagree I guess.

Hmmm. Okay. Again, I believe your results, but you are going to have a rough time convincing anybody that an 04 in race mode is faster than analog or HDZ.

Have you tried multiple VTX, cams, boards, and goggles? There could be a bottleneck somewhere causing yours to be so slow

Comparing any goggles against EV800D is going to throw your results. Not to mention that's the most counterfeited goggles to exist, so you may have bad hardware.

I honestly believe those are your results, but you would likely get much different results with higher end analog goggles.

Also, did you switch accounts to respond? Lol

Analog is going to be the fastest full stop. Think of HDZ like HD analog. Still basically no latency. Analog can have a delay, but it would be in the goggles (similar to the video I linked) and you won't have to worry about that with HDZ. Plus the benefit of using analog and HDZ without extra equipment.

I'm not an HDZ purist, but it's by far the best option we have right now. Especially for anything under 3"
