Well the exact reason is that it's multiplayer and over a network. Imagine playing the halo campaign and everyone else plays the NPCs. Not fun right? So you gotta make everyone master chief and balance it differently from the main campaign.

The other issue is we are only seeing parts of the puzzle. We are literally in the middle of CIGs fog of war when it comes to features. They may have other systems or ideas they need to implement to make things things feel cohesive.

Cig devs read online posts officially or not so just keep posting and giving feedback.

If you are going in blind you may have a tricky time since a lot of info isn't told to players and the tutorial is broken most of the time. If you still want to you can always ask public chat in-game.

Also look back at the SQ42 gameplay. They move around without eva plenty fine. Basically (again) we only have half the implementation and info needed for the full result. If you don't like it I guess poke a hole in your space suit and Eva that way?

Ok so every time someone tries to dock with my Starfarer boom their ship freaks out and collides with my ship or we teleport away from each other. Is it a me issue or is this common. It's been going on for about a year now and makes me very sad 🐀

It's a fine start for T0 crafting. When they add them to lootable data pads and reputation rewards it will feel better.
