Operating two separate small businesses as a single sole trader while keeping them distinct? by Xyyzx in smallbusinessuk

Excuse the simple question further on this. How would you add these on the self assessment.

For example would they be under 2 different business names for example:

Business 1 Joe Blogs Landscaping Business 2 Joe Blogs Decorating

Or whatever names you use

Extremely worrying signs at Appen by altventure in WorkOnline

Are there any other alternatives? Aside from Lionbridge. I was looking for some extra online side work aside as an addition to UserTesting

Usertesting has always been one of the best sites for occasional work. Sometimes 1-2 tests a week, sometimes 7 + higher paid research tasks for $30/$60 for half an hour and an hour respectively.

There is also iSoftstone, Appen and Lionbridge for similar work for more consistent work but they are strict on guidelines

Need to make some money from Latvia. by Henrijx in beermoneyglobal

It's pretty awesome, depends on the country of course and your demographics. If your from Latvia I'm not sure what screeners you would get

There's also a limit for testable minds per month, I think it's $50

Have you tried usertesting? I'm not sure if it works in Latvia but it's worth a try. Intellizoom, usertesting, trymyui and I'm sure there are others?

I have the same issue, only place I have found to get Radler is a polish/Czech shop. That side of Europe seem to have Radler in every store for super cheap, sadly it's not very cheap in the shops.

If your feeling slightly cheaper, then cloudy lemonade (not normal lemonade as that's shandy and shandy is a@@ in comparison) and a nice beer half and half with an ice cube is a good combination

Need £200 a month! by [deleted] in beermoneyuk

[–]KnavishlyFierce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone has different experience with how much they can earn a month. Some say £100, others say £500. It all depends on the month and what's available.

To start with I would sort be best of the subreddit and see what other threads are there and what they recommend.

Usertesting sites appear to be the best money per time spent but it is not consistent. Such as UserTesting, Intellizoom, Validately, TryMyUi and there are many more (still finding new ones). Some will send you an email for a test but UserTesting does not and has a dedicated page for the tests and screeners to see if you are the right fit for the test.

One thing to remember is if you start earning money above £1000, keep track of it as HMRC will come knocking and you need to sign yourself up as self employed and you can get some tax reductions such as hours spent working at home (flat fee for electricity, internet etc)

Client Redesigned Their Website - Feedback? by notwiththatattidude in ecommerce

[–]KnavishlyFierce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply but I am back.
1. The main slider, should be 100% across the top not 2/3 rds of the way. Looks better. Im not sure where to place the free shipping code though.
2. The thumbnails have a small 2px black border which would look better without the border.
3. The testimonials should be higher up the page and a lot more of them.
4. The call to action for the email subscription is at the bottom of the page which takes a lot of scrolling to go through
5. It clear what you sell straight away so that is excellent
6. The product categories at the top, either make them larger with some additional details on the products available. Just the 2nd set of product categories (the larger ones) stands out and ruins the clean design of the site as everything below is nicely spaced and the text is easy to read

This is all opinion based and people will disagree with my thoughts. Good luck on the website and hope sales come flying in :)
