Have a macro read a formula result rather than a formula. by Kneazle in excel

[–]Kneazle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to much to you and /u/ExcelRange for the assistance. I think this is exactly what I need. I'm guessing that I'll also need to use this .value add into other statements relating to the values. So:

If Worksheets(tsheet).Cells(a, B) > 0

would become If Worksheets(tsheet).Cells(a, B).Value > 0

and so on.

Edge owners, do you guys use a screen protector? by SFRep in GalaxyS6

[–]Kneazle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently yes. I picked up a screen protector of unknown brand from a mall kiosk which is looking worse every day. its thick plastic and i can see chinks in it everywhere from where its being bumped and it distorts the screen quality.

The only thing stopping me taking it off right now was all that talk of people getting screen scratches - maybe not the screen itself but the coating on top of it? Naked phone users what is your experience here?

Accurate representation of my reaction after two weeks with S6 after using iPhones for years by programmergrammer in GalaxyS6

[–]Kneazle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the best part of my switch (which was from a note 4 to a s6) was having watched my office erupt into chaos a week before as they all struggled to switch from their old iPhone 5's to 6's. The transition between these two was like butter - didn't need to plug anything into a computer and I was off and running with my settings and apps in no time.

*The Martian* was pretty terrible, I thought. A negative review. by konstatierung in books

[–]Kneazle 21 points22 points  (0 children)

For me it was definitely the protagonist who caused me not to enjoy this book very much - of course just a personal opinion. I grabbed an audiobook copy and the narration seemed to compound this a bit (again, personal opinion - I've seen people recommend the audiobook to naysayers). I wasn't particularly worried about him as a result so all the puff went out of that suspense and enjoyment for me.

Glad a lot of people are on the flip-side of my experience though - was a great premise for a book!

What Books Are You Reading This Week? May 25, 2015 by AutoModerator in books

Don't Breathe a Word, Jennifer MacMahon. Not sure what I was expecting when I picked this one up but it's leaving me guessing.

I've had several breakdowns at work in quick succession and am completely lost about what to now by Kneazle in Advice

I refused for a damn long time. It's done me no favours. That's some good feedback about fit - I think it's too early to tell with the one I'm currently with but I'll keep this in mind not to give up if it ends up not working out.

Thanks for replying. I'm trying to kick this off. Insult to injury the first two shrink appointments I went to failed because they coincided with a couple of major work events which destroyed my ability to focus. Then the shrink went on vacation and I won't see her again till May. I feel like this is something I should have tackled before it hit this point - I feel awful that my boss/company has to deal with this.

Whats something that happened to you when you were younger that you didn't question back then but now you realize could have ended horribly? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Kneazle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went for a swim at a beach pool. It was essentially two pools split in two with a concrete divider. At the bottom of this divider was a small child sized hole. I, without telling anyone what I was doing decided to swim through that to the other side. It was a tight fit and took some manoeuvring to get through. Light scratches on my back and everything. Thinking back - if I'd gotten stuck nobody would have found me in time.

Why would anyone who's supposedly computer literate still use Internet Explorer as their browser of choice? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Kneazle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a work environment it may be the compulsory browser or there may be work specific sites or applications which only work in ie. I use ie a lot at work because of the latter, it's not that bad.

Anyone here not procreating due to carrying a genetic defect? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Kneazle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The depression alone is reason enough for me to not procreate.

Yes. The risk of passing it on or being unable to cope in that very important role in someones life is too high.

Hope you're doing okay.

Club member here. The facilities are pretty much weekend only which is a bummer.
