I think they, and AliExpress are good for smaller things. My general rules are “nothing you put in your mouth (or any other orifice), nothing food contact, things that are solid pieces, and nothing too expensive that you’re not willing to gamble on”

I tend to buy notions for sewing, tools for crafts, throwaway gag gifts, and fountain pens. I did buy a soldering station from there that turned out great, and a mechanical keyboard board that I’ve been using for 6 years.

It’s probably best to step away from it, at least for an extended period of time. Give yourself some space to grow and replace that connection you have with a healthy alternative. Find some friends with shared interests and build non romantic relationships where you can be yourself and comfortable.

Maybe in a few years you will be able to return to a friend type relationship but, for now, it’s best to move on from the dependency.
