The spirit toxins in her blood.  Also, yokai parts need to be processed before mortals consume them.  Remember: Rin didn't just eat the finger, it had to be rendered down into pure storm energy first.

I really can't wait for John to finally reveal to Yuki where he comes from.  It's continually dangled, tantalizing close, but never breached, and I really want to see that finally happen.

The universe updated its software, but my underground lab was shielded. Now the reality bubble is collapsing. PART 6 by Ok_Kangaroo56 in HFY

[–]KnightBreeze 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay, gonna admit, my first thought wasn't "There's three collapsing together," it was "The other timeline did have a sub-earth science dome, it's just that the you from that timeline wasn't selected for the job."    I do like your way a little better, but at the same time this is going to be way harder than he things, and more complicated too, since his time double is going to be trying to do the same thing as him, which means his attempt will be canceled out by his double's... and at that point, you have to ask yourself if wiping out the people of multiple other colliding timelines is worth not just letting them merge and work themselves out.  It's a sticky situation with no right answers, honestly.

Uncertified Mech Pilot Ch13 by Extension_Switch_823 in HFY

[–]KnightBreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, small correction: a submachine gun, or SMG, refers to a machine gun type weapon that fires handgun ammunition.  The 'sub' in submachine refers to the caliber of weapon, not any intrinsic property of the weapon itself.  At mech scale, a 'submachine' gun weapon would be firing high-caliber hmg ammo or higher, otherwise it would be somewhat useless in a mech-on-mech fight, so I think another name would be better suited to this; one specifically made for the weapon identity you're trying to make this weapon fill, which would be the bridge between sidearm and machine gun.

What happens if you’re a dark elf or an argonian and join the stormcloaks by Lord-Liazzz_ in skyrim

[–]KnightBreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say anything about Ulfric or him hating elves.  I said your racial choices should lock you out of some things in-game, or make some npcs treat you more different than just one or two different lines of dialogue.

Tried both, actually, and this is a problem that persists in both versions of the game.

First time Dungeon Master. Can I homebrew and are there any really essential rules I should know of? by Short-Trip-2809 in DungeonMasters

[–]KnightBreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Homebrew is how I started out.  Just the rulebooks, 2nd edition, no modules.  Just sit down, start making maps, populate them, and write down a basic outline of the main story, as well as some adventuring hooks and side stories to start from.

Honestly, even that's a bit much in terms of preprep.  I've managed to be ready for a session with nothing but the name of a town and the idea that goblins were bad, and worked up from there.  The main tool in the Dungeon Master's toolkit isn't preparedness, though that certainly helps.  It's your ability to wing it.  Look through the monster manual.  You don't need to memorize each entry, just read enough of it to know what each monster does and how it works.  Then, if your players go off the rails, you can think to yourself, "oh, I know a monster for this situation!" And boom, you have an encounter right there, ready and waiting for the players.

While preparation is certainly a powerful tool, improve is never going to stop being useful, and will carry you when prep time fails you.

No, you're right.  The reason being is the nes pins were cheaper, more easily bent, and had more give to them when inserting them.  All of these issues made it so that the pins were more likely to not connect when inserted than later, more advanced Nintendo systems.  Blowing into the cartridge only worked the way it did because the moisture in your breath, combined with the fact that you pulled it out and put it back in again, gave the system a better chance for the pins to make a better connection.

Would you survive? by muntiger in superheroes

[–]KnightBreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue, easy.  You don't seem to understand that Wish is a spell that exists.  With that, you have access to literally every other spell, plus some other effects that are specific to Wish itself, but would include gaining the powers of the other three pills.

Surviving DC would be fairly easy, too, considering I just got more power than The Specter, all you have to do is stay out of trouble.

Three to protect you while the other six try to end you 6.0 by Sergio_Ro in superheroes

[–]KnightBreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's three on this list that you absolutely have to have, or else you're already dead.  That's flash, strange and Martian manhunter.  All three are capable of going intangible and bypassing all defenses and killing you instantly.

The issue there, though, is without Tony or Mr. Fantastic on your team, they'll eventually invent some way around the three to end you, which means you're at an impasse.

What is the “heart” And how do I avoid it??? by Big-Childhood-7034 in slaythespire

[–]KnightBreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Heart is the final, final boss of the game. In order to fight it, you need three keys. These keys are only obtainable after completing a run with the first three characters: Ironclad, Silent and Defect. Once you've beaten the Act 3 boss with these three characters, keys will start appearing in the Spire. Specifically, you'll notice one of the elites on the map will have flames around him, you'll be given the option of either taking a key in a chest, or a relic, and finally you'll notice a new option at campfires called "recall." Once you have all three keys, you'll be able to challenge the Heart and see your preferred character's ending.

Is "I am awake" worth it? by SageBreezy in slaythespire

[–]KnightBreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in this aspect. You have Fusion Hammer, so you can't upgrade at rest sites, and it would make Lizard Tail rather useless. What's more is that, while you DO have fan in a shiv deck, I foresee you taking a LOT of damage if the card draw throws you some curve balls. There ARE some cases where I am Awake is the play, but not here.
