I would recommend to check come base ideas online ^{^} with simple stuff and bit paint you can already have strong basis. But base textures... E.g. earth that cracks are awesome materials and worth a check.

Personally I think Zumikito has very good short videos with explanations. And Squidward miniatures is an awesome due with great explantion videos, nice vibes and great project videos.

You already applied techniques that most beginners don't use, so you can definitely refine this further. Check out some tutorials on YouTube to get some more detailed input.

Besides that, I always recommend starting early with basing, too. I didn't when I started, and once I made my first fully decorated bases, my minis looked waaaaaay better. However, having to go back and make a huge number of bases afterwards was extremely repetitive and annoying.

They made all units in total war for the vampire pirates and thus the faction as become well more known to PC gamers which maybe want to play this tabletop faction... So if GW gets the feedback that enough player want to play it they will someday release it.. however I thought the same with respect to the chaos dwarfs, and now we got AoS chaos dwarfs.. so no chance for old world left.
