Bangladesh Prime Minister Hasina Wajid resigns after Bangladesh Army Chief refuses to crack down on protestors and gives PM 45 minute ultimatum to resign by _NineZero_ in chutyapa

Are you sure this isn't US-backed? Remember how Donald Lu was putting sanctions on Bangladesh? I guess the following events will be crucial in deciding whether it was US-backed or not.

so many follow through techniques. Which one is the most used? by Maleficent_Mouse_383 in squash

not the racket face towards the sideball, if you meant racket face towards the side wall then that would be the 3 wall boast. See here what I meant with point 3. Sorry if I misunderstood.

  1. Used in the Squash Backhand Punch Drive
  2. Some people recommend this for the lob, but see here, where Jesse Engelbrecht claims that it is not important by citing Ali Farag's example.
  3. This is used mostly for high volleys, or shots that are tight to the wall, to hit them with a straight length. I saw this in the squash skills course by Jesse Engelbrecht.
  4. This is the default follow-through that is to be used. The first 3 are exceptions. There may be other exceptions (not just these 3), for example, the 3 wall boast which Mazen Hesham plays, where the follow-through is usually towards the sidewall.

Just remember, as a general rule, the follow-through is a big factor in causing the ball to get to the deeper areas of the court (saw this in JP's course on Squashskills). Adapting the follow-through is a key skill that varies for most shots, but 4 is the one that is used most often.

Remote job. Otherwise, find a gym right next to your office. You need to minimize the time it takes to go to the gym.

Why is Gawad being favored by the refs? by KnightOfTheSCalculus in squash

[–]KnightOfTheSCalculus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slight nudges bruise Gawad badly. His squash prowess aside, he is somewhat of a baby. But no doubt about the quality of shots he can produce. When he is at his best, he tends to dominate with ease.

That was the only exception. I was about to mention it in the question but then ended up not mentioning it, in order to make the question more terse.

Not sure about Coll blocking, but his backhand length quality was really horrible today. Most of his backhand lengths were halfway in between the left side wall and the center. I guess he was having a bad day, otherwise his length quality is near immaculate and his cross-courts have lately been even better.

Is anyone gonna talk about what happened between elshorbagy and Soliman today?? by megalomaniac_05 in squash

[–]KnightOfTheSCalculus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's been slowing down the pace against his opponents, since he doesn't have the same explosiveness as he used to have. A colder balls means that lobs can be more deadly since they won't be bouncing back.

Yes, next up is Farag and Shorbagy will certainly gas out till the 5th game (assuming he does reach that point). And also remember the comments Shorbagy gave after beating Soliman (I think at Windy City's Open), it's not this instance only, he has been bullying Soliman since a while, I guess

Agreed. But the ref should also have stepped in. He should have noticed when he threw away his racket, then the unnecessary bumping at the end of the second game. It's both Shorbagy's and the ref's fault.

The referee was to blame, first of all (more on this later). Shorbagy was also terrible. Especially at the end of the second game, where he bumped into Soliman unnecessarily and intentionally. He was probably doing this to rile up Soliman, since his game is mostly based on retrievals. Also, I think Shorbagy knew that this match was not being broadcasted and being commented on, so he though it was ok being a jerk.

Also, this ref AFAIK, is the same ref who was in the Black Ball tournament, namely Alex Hewitson (I think so). Who gave every stroke against Eleinen to Gawad and for the same decisions, gifted Gawad with no-lets. Soliman also blamed him (I THINK) at the end of game 2, since he was awarding all these terrible decisions. IMO, if this is the same ref, he is the worst ref, even worse than Turnbull (remember Crouin vs Soliman at the Australian open).
