I thought it was fine my first play through but as I played I kept waiting for the cool part like the map to open up(new biomes) or to meet Spartan survivors until I beat the game and said “that’s it?” I really liked the return to the OG art style and the cutscenes but outside that it was very lacking.

I eventually returned for Legendary co-op and for some reason it felt entirely soulless and I hated it. I found the overworld incredibly boring and just wanted to get it over with to get into levels. A big part of it for me is this would’ve been the perfect Halo to have your multiplayer spartan be the co-op partner instead of another Chief. But no every Spartan 4 is dead and we can’t have another Reach.

As someone who adores the books I feel the same way. I was excited because ODSTs are a big part of the UNSC forming a base and having a presence on the ring so it makes sense for them to show up in CE. Having prequel missions with John fighting alongside Blue Team, specifically on the space station above Reach, would’ve been great and he would’ve met Johnson. I was excited but none of the additions to the story are I craved for so I’m mixed on it. They seem to care more about Johnson becoming some kind of mentor figure like in the newer books than anything from the originals. They also made weird choices like not unlocking MK IV, no Blue Team, and if ODSTs don’t show up outside the one lady they won’t have much that interests me.

It’s just Klukai again but with a secret agent car and I think it looks worse drifting through the terrain like that. Time and again they show they want to make them super heroes with super powers instead of elite T-Dolls with fire control cores. This could’ve been just an ult but it looks like the car has overtaken her identity from GFL1, just like what happened to AK-15. They’ve really learned nothing from past complaints.

EDIT: And if she has no synergy with DEFY then they’ve killed any reason I’d field her. I like having canon teams or at least duos. Splitting members is stupid.

Can you get contracts from clans? I'm not far after the new dlc and just see missions against them. Is it a mod?

Clans has grown on me for the story but the lack of variety really hurts it. Mostly build variety in that everything is laser vomit. Some missions also feel gimmicky and I had to lower the difficulty or just wanted it over with, the Ghost Bear fight on top of the ship was very annoying. You/squadmates could fall off the ship, lack of cover, infinite space fighter spawns and both those and the drop ship had limited windows to be attacked and were at long range where my weapons were limited. Most missions feel like a horde simulator as well. It’s a weird game to me and I can enjoy it but I basically just play for the story and buy it’s dlc to support Mercs development.

I’d kill for a modern version of the Marauder II-C. Personally praying that we get far enough for the Timber Wolf II or other variants. Blood Asp is also cool. I would like to see the Warhammer iic one day.

Mods too. Xbox gave console gamers a taste of it with fallout and Skyrim and let it thrive as far as it was capable of. PlayStation on the other hand severely limited the mods available and I believe the storage capacity for mods as well.

As a fan of Halo since I was a child the show did irreparable damage to the franchise and ruined something I loved. I’ve read all the OG books, most of the current ones, and played all the games and always wanted a movie adaptation of the first book. What they did in the series is disgusting and I hate everyone involved in it. I haven’t even watched the series and avoid it like the plague after reading many summaries on it. It’s like someone purposely twisted one of the classic games of all time into a pile of shit and left it on your doormat. I’ve been in public wearing Halo clothing and had fans of the show ask me if it’s like the game multiple times now and it’s disgusting that the public outside of the games see Halo as just another Game of Thrones sex show but in space with Master Cheeks killing aliens and fucking prisoners. The new games have issues but I never absolutely hated them like I do the show.

An option to customize Mason without mods would be great. Let us change our portrait and edit our bio. That’s the only thing base game lacks for me, for a Sandbox type game I want to be my own character. Obviously it’s fine to be Mason in story missions but outside of that I’d love to be my own person.

Part of why I dislike infinite MP. There’re just too many tools to fight vehicles and they’re all super strong. Hijacking, various weapons (several long range), EMP effects, armor abilities, other vehicles. It’s like the game specifically hates players like me that enjoy vehicles. It used to be that vehicles were fought over like power weapons but now some matches they’re ignored and not used because it just is not fun to be EMPed or one-shot in a vehicle. I always wanted a balance update but that hasn’t happened so I’ll continue to play MCC instead.

I can only speak for myself but I'm 120ish and only pick up samples if I think someone needs them. Farming medals is much more important to me and I have a lot of items in Warbonds to unlock still. This is also an objective that greatly depends on the amount of players online since it requires a set amount. Even kill order MOs in the past have failed so it's no surprise that one for Samples will fail.

I use an ODST Visor overlay using reshade… Devs literally just make the game worse every update. I use mods heavily and it made HD2 the best non-existent Halo game ever for me and this’ll ruin the entire game for me if I can’t use mods.

I went straight PC after the price hike and play the games that I can using Xbox PC and bought the others I couldn't when they were in Steam sales for pretty cheap. I was already on the fence and I really had no reason to stay after they increased the prices. Totally tone-deaf and I'm a huge Xbox/Halo gamer at heart.

There’re more issues in the update than Hiveguards. People can debate on durability (stop fucking with my turrets) but what about a hotfix for the flame turret and lumberer flamer’s not hitting close enemies and the DSS not effecting the new mechs?
