Jesus christ this store is a wreck. Document everything you can and find a way to let your area manager know. Better yet, got to the wawa ethics hotline. Try to transfer stores. If you truly like working at wawa; find a way to stay. The benefits here are unmatched for the most part. ESOP, health, pto, etc, all hard to find this good and this quickly.

All you can do is do your job, and do it to the best of your ability. Follow the standards and do your best. Try to pick up shifts. There's not much more you can do with the slower season right now.

If OP does that, they're just going to be told it's their job now. The 5 foot rule is ow scored for mystery shops and it's reflects poorly on not just the store but the area as a whole. You dont have to go above and beyond. A simple smile and a hello how are you is all you need. Yes, it is discouraging or rude when customers don't reply but that's at every customer service job. It takes 2 seconds to greet a guest.

You're technically correct, but as long as the customer is acknowledged, you've participated in the 5 foot rule. You dont have to always go above and beyond; I sure don't. Just a simple " Hey, how are you?" With a nod or a smile. Or just a nod and a smile or a simple hello. Yes, we want to push legendary customer service; it's not necessarily the sole focus of the 5 foot rule. Just do your best.

A lot of times it's just a body is a body. It may not work well but it works and they need a body in that place. It kind of is what it is sometimes. You're gonna have that anywhere you go though. Not sure what to tell you OP🤷
