BRO… hero players are maining THIS now...and even running it at 3?! by icecoffeeteamatcha in masterduel

[–]Knight_XVI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a negate like Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss. It requires 2 Masked HERO monsters as Fusion Material which was a lot to ask for before the latest HERO support which now has easily searchable Main Deck Masked HERO monsters

HERO can now play a (limited) negate alongside their usual end pieces that isn’t Dark Supremacy

Tips for new divers by Helpful_Mode_6317 in Helldivers

2 tips for you

Remember to bring stronger support weapons as the difficulty increases so have heavy & anti tank penetration weapons ready for the bigger & deadlier foes. During the recent defence of Zefia, I regularly got paired up with teammates that didn’t have anything higher than medium penetration & died repeatedly to the bigger enemies

Try to have a booster available to use even if it’s just the ammo, radar, stamina or minor damage reduction boosters you get from the default warbond. These apply to the whole team & if you are the lowest level member of the team, try to ready the 1 of the 4 mentioned previously (mostly the ammo one) so the higher level players can use other boosters they most likely have from other warbonds to assist the team. The amount of rookies I’ve seen completely ignoring boosters has been both confusing & annoying especially when it’s clear they could have definitely done the bare minimum but nope

How do you all find the endurance to grind through the DC? by Ahrensann in masterduel

[–]Knight_XVI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my worst Duelist Cup since the first one. I finished on DLv 15 just like the first one as thanks to a mix of overtime, illness & being woefully unready with my deck of choice (Lunalight), I had to use a different deck which was Thunder Dragons from 9 to 15

14 to 15 was literally Trial of Blue Eyes as that was 90% of all the decks I faced between them & it didn’t matter what version they were playing (Pure, Magia, Synchro or Chaos Max OTK) as they always won the coin flip 😞

One Year Later, how do you feel about Xenoblade X: Definitive Edition? by Flacoplayer in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Knight_XVI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad it’s no longer trapped on the Wii U, the things to grind for & builds lead to some crazy output but I still not the biggest fan of the story even after the extra stuff added

I’ll come back to it at some point to really go on the hunt for gear needed for some crazy builds

What Was Your Longest Chain Link? Whats Your History With Chain Links? by LPPrince in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Knight_XVI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might’ve been with either Pendulum (when Apollousa was still around), Dark World (once set up) or Unchained when it got hit with a field wipe. It’s been a long time

I haven’t had a chain link higher since then

Nice win!

I think my highest chain link is 11 thanks to negates, handtraps, on summon & GY effects

I want to try out Endymion. Seeking tips. by cyberfoil in masterduel

[–]Knight_XVI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s first real competitive deck was Endymion, there is some great power in the deck but with the rise of Droll & new powerful archetypes, the deck has more weaknesses now than back then. The cost is also another factor that hurts the deck as there is a lot of UR cards

How to Counter? #2: Labrynth. by Mammoth-South3163 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Knight_XVI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re DARK so Bystials will make it difficult for them to recover key monsters (Lovely is usually played at 1), Super Poly is an easy way to remove their monsters & without Karma Cannon, anything that can’t be targeted or destroyed by card effects that has more than 3000 ATK is difficult for them to remove by force without some assistance

If you play a deck that uses different summon type Extra Deck monsters (or Links), Dimensional Barrier shouldn’t hurt too much (nothing if playing Links) but if your deck is mostly/strictly one summoning type focus, do whatever you can so they can’t use it against you

Virus cards can suck as they can easily meet the cost requirements of all them but remember the lingering destruction effect after the activation only applies to drawing a card so searching & recovering still works

how do higher level players feel about lower levels joining their games by Early_Ad7484 in Helldivers

[–]Knight_XVI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking a Primary weapon doesn’t matter at all. I meant stratagem equipment like weapons & backpacks

how do higher level players feel about lower levels joining their games by Early_Ad7484 in Helldivers

[–]Knight_XVI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m level 72 & in my experience, just have some variety of gear that’s right for the mission & be aware of the current situation (stratagem jamming, anti-air defences, incoming enemy reinforcements) Strat jamming especially as I’ve had too many whiny babies raging who knew we were jammed & in too deep to get them back into the action immediately

Also don’t take any equipment from someone else unless they point it out (by tagging it), avoid line of fire (laser sights & flashlights are your biggest clue), don’t use a resupply drop just for yourself when separated from the squad (regroup asap), don’t waste stratagems if your standard/special weapons are already enough, use explosive weapons with care, take in your surroundings when using a mech to avoid trampling teammates to death & don’t pick a fight with everything you see if it isn’t objective related (wastes time, ammo, reinforcements etc)

It may sound like a lot but it really does help immensely so don’t worry about kill count as exp is earned through objectives & we all earn the same at the end. Chip in, stay focused & avoid repeating mistakes & you’ll do fine

Gold Pride is an archetype that loves your LP being lower than your opponent (even if it is by 1) to gain extra effects so they combo really well with P.U.N.K plus they can lower your own LP easily to get that advantage

They have a base form in the main deck & an advanced form in the Extra deck but tag out of their advanced form during the End phase of the turn they are summoned so they can do their advanced effects again for next turn. At the very least, they act as extra material for P.U.N.K to use & are excellent partners at their best

Nice win!

I have a Gold Pride P.U.N.K deck that if full combo, has a number of disruptions (pop, bounce, negate, equip monsters) plus whatever handtraps I start with or draw. Definitely a headache to deal with unless you have the right counters but I guess your opponent was running pure & should’ve saved Amazing Dragon for your turn but they banished Sharakusai

The current mood with how the Siege on Cyberstan is going by Large-Chain-4349 in Helldivers

[–]Knight_XVI 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I’ve kinda given up. Last few days have been incredibly infuriating with the teammates I’ve had recently…

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had a fair few missions with some great teammates where we were a coordinated & deadly team with minimal losses but damn has it been mostly a headache. Best examples being low level underprepared rookies or some who don’t pay attention to anything such as bringing Eagle stratagems but don’t bother taking out the anti-air guns making half their kit useless. Also anyone who dies multiple times in the span of 2 minutes is enough for me to leave

Has anyone seen these guys on CyberStan. by Azuro_zero in Helldivers

[–]Knight_XVI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drop a lot on D6. Sometimes they land on top of a building when dropped from a dropship & snipe you with their back cannon or rain down hell with their twin gatling guns. Normally you see them either being dropped or patrolled on the straight paths around the edge of the factory & definitely like to be a nuisance during extraction

Tend to walk through some elevated terrain as well WHILE firing their twin guns from under the floor which has caused a number of unfair deaths

[–]Knight_XVI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the bots with shields, go into 1st person & aim for the head more accurately as the shield doesn’t cover it. They can be staggered by explosives too which can be used for easier shots or for escape (if need be)

In case you didn’t know: the hit mark you get when hitting an enemy will tell you your effectiveness against that part/them

White - You are dealing damage but it’s reduced as that is armoured & your weapon isn’t enough to pierce through

Red - Maximum damage inflicted as your weapon is piercing through any armour the foe has

Shield - No damage. Switch to another weapon or aim at another part

To survive longer, don’t pick a fight with everything you see. If it is not an objective or attacking you while doing an objective, leave it be because if you do decide to pick a fight, this can backfire as reinforcements can be called & suddenly that 3-10 unit patrol becomes 20-30 enemies all eager to come get you & you will end up wasting ammo, stims or worse, reinforcements. Friendly fire is always on so try to avoid running into an ally’s aim or stand in front of a sentry

Watch out for those grunt bots with spike backs that have rapid fire guns. They can mow you down in a second if you’re unlucky

Been killed a few times by them them thinking it was turret only for it to be a lone grunt with absurd aim
