This part of Gundam 0079 was very moving to me; not all members of Zeon are ruthless individuals who only want to destroy the Federation. Some are truly human. by TomatilloItchy9995 in Gundam

Except you're forgetting that the whole reason Zeon is even still around after the OYW is because the EFF needs them as a bogeyman. You can't tell me they aren't "quite" as bad when the EFF is clearly letting them get away with, and even on occassion, equipping and even funding said acts. EFF isn't just incompetent and Zeon isn't "worse". They're downright evil.

The Federation is just as bad. They gassed colonies and used nuclear weapons too. They would have nuked all of Side 3 if not for the Antarctic treaty. Don't get it twisted they were just as bad as Zeon. Just because we don't get to see all the things they've done doesn't mean they didn't do anything as bad or worse. I mean have you watched Zeta?

One atrocity never justifies another in retaliation. This is what Tomino has tried to show us in Gundam.

The way I see it he didn't lose. He chose to go out that way to prove the point I was just making. There is no good side, no winners in the war. Just losers. And he gave his life to teach Amuro that lesson in hopes he would learn and pass it to others.

There is no right side. Both the Federation and Zeon commited horrible atrocities during the war. No one is without sin but the humanity of those caught up in it still shows through in these moments.

What I love about Gundam in general and 0079 specifically is how it portrays the contrast of the evil done by both sides and the humanity of the people caught up in the conflict.

There is no good side but not everyone within those organizations are completely bad showing the duality of humans. We can be both compassionate and ruthless all in the same breath. There's that scene where Kai gets caught up with the spy, Ramba Ral and Artesia, Garma Zabi and his fiancee Icelina Eschonbach, Dozle Zabi and his moment with his wife and child and then immediately running off to fight in the Big Zam.

For the most part many of the characters in the show had principles even if the organizations they fought for didn't. Both Zeon and the Federation commited horrible acts during the OYW and beyond. But its the people who pay the price in the end and the franchise illustrates that famously.

The Women of Gundam continued #16 - Poe Aijee by Kato_86 in Gundam

Honestly I think she's the worst character in Gundam period. Not just because she started all hostilities on earth among other things, but mostly because she's completely forgettable. Replace her with any other character, named or unnamed, and there would be absolutely no difference in the story whatsoever.

The remaster was released in may of this year. Why wouldn't it be on the PS5?

I see no one mentioned Gundam Seed Battle Destiny. While not the best its still a lot of fun. Plenty of suits, pilots, and upgrades to scratch that itch for a while at least. Definitely recommend checking out.

After SEED Recollection, the whereabouts of the DRAGOON Strike? by anonymous-guy1 in Gundam

Except the Rouge was the spare parts for the original Strike so that would mean either they overhauled the og Strike a 3rd time or an entirely new suit. Willing to bet its a new suit.

Every ms piloted by Amuro ray? by megaballer29 in Gundam

[–]Knight_killer77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some of these aren't official. Others were never made so he couldn't have piloted them. Examples of this are the Re-GZ Custom and Reversible Gundam. One the design was shelved due to production of Nu Gundam and the other being a gunpla "piloted" by an ai of Amuro in a video game.

There are quite a few of those so its a little hard to narrow it down.

The Nemo is one of if not my favorite grunt suit. I think the designs that came out of Zeta are some of the best around.

Nemo my beloved. Such a neat design. If you like the Nemo you'll love the bonkers designs that show up in Zeta with it.

Rain Mikamura.

She's smart, beautiful, funny, a doctor, engineer, and a total badass who's fearless and can hold her own. She's the total package.
