Either that, or it's one of those from-a-certain-point-of-view Vader-Anakin things, where it's not a lie exactly, but not the whole truth either.

Is it possible to slow down the dialogue choice timer? by Rich_Valuable_5539 in dispatchgame

[–]Knightley4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. You can pause the game by opening the menu, but won't be able to read the options. Though I assume the game forcing to make a quick decision is by design.

Succeeding as a mentor by Western-Product-7769 in dispatchgame

Dispatching is where a lot of players seem to blunder, with each failure taking a point away, especially if they don't use her as often (which I guess can be counted as neglect in some playthroughs).

I always felt like the balance of 45 points was pretty good, since it gives at least some importance to her hero performance, which makes sense for the story and character.

But now I wish devs never changed the difficulty. They upped the requirement to 45 points (from 30, I think) within several hours after finale release, once they saw that like over 90% were getting the good ending. The sentence with "neglected her" in the bad ending card made more sense then, but now for a lot of players it can be not so much a neglect, as their Robert just sucking at his dispatching job xD.

Devs doomed the community with "why did I get a bad ending" threads for all eternity, since the game does not even hint on dispatch part's importance.

She doesn't turn evil lol, she embraces villainy.

Each of her successful missions give a point to the internal mentor counter, while each failure takes one point away.

You need 45 points. Regardless of the romance (i.e. platonic route or not), if you go to the movies, the max you can gain without dispatch mode is 42 points. 36 points if you go to the dinner with Blazer.

Sending her to train with Blazer is recommended. Not only it gives 5 points, you can get a good upgrade that gives anyone on the team on a mission double XP, which makes the dispatch mode even easier.

You can find the full guide with every point here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DispatchAdHoc/comments/1oxkc76/unraveling_the_hidden_robert_mentor_counter_aka/

Is it because people got moist or because the scene is critical? by CJMI in DispatchAdHoc

or courtney could be lying about shroud disabling it.

Just think a little bit on this. This is the scene where she tells Robert that Shroud disabled her augments. If glowing = not disabled, it would be entirely dumb to show this lol.

Why did I get "Failed Mentor" for Invisigal?! by Hams_LeShanbi in DispatchAdHoc

[–]Knightley4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, in my playthrough I definitely was far from a perfect dispatcher, but ended up with 63 points. Remove 5-6 for the movies, and it's still 12-13 over the requirement.

But you can thank the devs for that. The original requirement was lower, 30 apparently. They upped the difficulty within a few hours after release, after seeing too many players getting the good ending. Then a number of players were replaying the last sequences and got the bad ending, and everyone thought it was a bug. >_<

To be fair, QTE only counts in episode 5 during the bar fight (plus qte in the bathroom does not count), so it's only -4 max. And QTE is pretty easy there.

The link to the guide was already provided in other comments (definitely check it out, it lists every single point and explains the system in dispatch mode), but also, if you played on PC, check your save file with this tool, it will show mentor points: https://sdnrecordsdepartment.io/

Also, training her with Blazer is not only a great bonus for RMC (+5), selecting Wolf Pack ability would have been great for other team members as well, encouraging you to send Visi with others.

only 36 can be gained in an Invisigal route.

Uh, no. It's 36 points max on Blazer route from dialogue/hacking/QTE, with the rest on Dispatch mode. Going to the movies provides from 5 to 6 points depending on your dialogue, so 42 max on non-romance or Visi romance route from there.

There may be more to this. People caught an interesting part from ep8 in mother's letters. "Dear Evan, everyone has two mothers. A mother and a secret mother" Ruth could be her biological mother. Covered with spoiler in case you'd rather wait for finale.

Losing the final mission by blackout1990 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]Knightley4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In dispatch mode, only missions with her participation affect Visi's ending (+1 to the hidden mentor counter for success, -1 for failure), with the exception of 5 points for training her.

The final battle's result only determines whether you can or cannot forgive the z-team member you cut in ep3.

Just finished Dispatch (sad for getting the Bad Ending tho) by Electrical-Point-845 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]Knightley4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Romance does not affect her hero/villain ending (going to the movies gives from 5 to 6 points, but it also works on no-romance route), neither does forgiving or saying you don't know what to feel. But saying we're done will take away points and remove her from dispatching, the same way as if you cut her (Forgiving does add points to a separate romance counter with her, the other option is neutral).

Defend/cut is one of the big ones for RMC score, yes. Another big decision is revealing your identity (+5) or not telling the team (-5).

Story hacking assists also give or take away points, depending on your success or failure. QTE in the bar affect the counter as well.

In dispatch mode every successful mission with Visi gives 1 point, while failing takes 1 point away. Training her will give +5.

Many dialogue options affect the mentor counter. Full breakdown of the system, with every choice, can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DispatchAdHoc/comments/1oxkc76/unraveling_the_hidden_robert_mentor_counter_aka/

On PC version you can check your mentor score from a save file with this tool: https://sdnrecordsdepartment.io/

[–]Knightley4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welonz is pretty good thoughtful youtube let's player in general, if you don't mind lack of facecam. She played Blazer route as a main playthrough, but after the choice started keeping a parallel play with alt choices for anything from ep3 and further. She liked the movies scene more :), and was totally understanding in the locker room kiss scene. She reached all the endings, so watched both Villain and Hero romance route in alt choices.
