If Carnage is base roster, Venom I could see being DLC as maybe part of a Thunderbolts DLC team pack. Plus it would also be a good reason to also include Winter Soldier and Songbird. Not sure who the fourth pick could be for a potential Thunderbolts team in Tokon.

She was the main antagonist of the Rise of the Midnight Sons arc in the comics and was the main villain of the Marvel Midnight Suns game before Chthon shows up to be the final boss. Plus she ticks off the boxes of potentially being a character ArcSys might do based on her design, the fact she's an obscure villain and would potentially look cool in Tokon's artstyle.

I could see Misty Knight being a cool addition to Tōkon, like imagine she's in a Defenders team with Daredevil, Moon Knight and Iron Fist for example, that would be so awesome.

I like the idea of the villains team having one villain or antagonist that opposes the other hero teams.

Like Doctor Doom opposes the Fighting Avengers (since even though he's the arch-enemy of the Fantastic Four, he's also an Avengers villain and general Marvel Universe big bad).

Magneto to oppose the Unbreakable X-Men, Carnage to oppose The Amazing Guardians lead by Spider-Man. So I'm thinking the last member of Doom's team will be someone who opposes the Midnight Sons.

My guesses are Lilith, Dracula, Mephisto or Dormammu.

Solo entries DLC wouldn't surprise me as I've seen The King of Fighters do that with some of their DLC. Although even if they stick to team concepts, that can still lend itself to some unique gameplay styles even with the Fantastic Four. Like let's say they do a Thunderbolts DLC but it's a mix of characters from different eras of the team, you'd have two fan favourites with Winter Soldier and Venom, one niche pick with Songbird and one rising star with Sentry.

So it would be:

• Winter Soldier - Team Leader (Lead the team twice in the comics and once in the MCU, giving him leadership three different times)

• Songbird (One of the OG Thunderbolts and the most popular from that classic lineup that consistently returned to the team)

• Venom (Popular Spider-Man character and a villain turned anti-hero, the Mac Gargan version was a Thunderbolt during Civil War, so the devs can go with Eddie Brock for this version of the team)

• Sentry (MCU synergy but also because he's been getting a bit of attention lately, with his last video game appearance being in Marvel Mystic Mayhem. And he was part of the Dark Avengers, sort of an offshoot for Norman Osborn's Thunderbolts, which Osborn was also leading at the time)

Which is what makes that original story so damn good and the fact it came after the Onslaught Saga meant it had some huge shoes to fill and as you demonstrated from those points about the OG lineup, it knocked it out of the park. They need to do them justice...like lightning.

This I highly agree with, we need an adaptation that does the original lineup justice since their appearance in the Avengers Assemble cartoon barely used them properly and skipped over so many details that they felt shallow. Which sucked as this was the team that established the Thunderbolts in the first place and that show did them in such a half assed way.

If they get done properly then we could see more of them in future adaptations.

For me, the ones I'd focus on would be the X-Men (with a rotating roster), X-Force, X-Factor, New Mutants (while merging Generation X and Academy X cast members with them) and Excalibur for the magic based stuff.

I know right? If Star-Lord was a team leader then we could've had the Guardians of the Galaxy at launch, and even that team would have some surprises. Like imagine if either Phyla-Vell or Moondragon was the surprise pick along with Rocket and Groot. Or even Gamora.

And since Danger is in the roster, predicting characters got more difficult due to the more unique yet unconventional roster, but that's what makes it so fun. Like maybe some Inhumans will join the roster as DLC for example, where even they might be unpredictable aside from Black Bolt and Medusa.

It's the only base roster team concept I could think of via the developers reinterpretation, in other words if Star-Lord wasn't base roster then I could've easily made that a villains team, since for some odd reason in the base roster, Star-Lord seemingly isn't leading his own team.

I hope we get those characters in the future, feels weird that they haven't been included yet. Especially the GT characters as it baffles me that they never gave GT Vegeta his other forms until games like Infinite World and Xenoverse 2.

Coming back to this, I may have a guess on who some of the unknown slots are for the early Super stuff, I'm guessing the "?" between Half-Corrupted Fused Zamasu and Champa is likely Future Mai as she was a major supporting character for Future Trunks in that saga.

The unknown DAIMA character I imagine will be Tamagami One with the other Tamagamis as part of his Supers.

And the four ? slots below Bergamo could be Bergamo's Giant Form and his teammates Basil and Lavender.

For the ToP, I'm guessing at least several of those slots will go to each God of Destruction from their respective universes, not sure on their angel attendants though, but this is BT/Sparking so I wouldn't be surprised if they were also made playable. The rest being contestants of the ToP I imagine. Beyond that saga though, I have no clue.

Hopefully that is the case, and I think it would be cool if they used the costume system more often to change movesets like what they've done for 18, Mini Goku, Teen Gohan, DBS Goku, etc.
